. >> o >>> this is video from the scene of a rescue in auckland, new zealand. not the kind of rescue you would expect, though. firefighters are rescuing this older gentleman from inside the post office. >> he looks fine to me. >> he is doing just fine. this is merv wallace. he went to the post office afterhours to check this mail. this is a very secure post office. there's a little keypad. type in the code. after he got his mail he goes to the door to get out and the handle fell off. >> oh, my goshp. >> he couldn't reattach it. he didn't have a cell phone or anything. he starts banging on the window. some people pass. they couldn't get him out. so police were called and then the mount wellington fire brigade showed up. here they are at the door. at first they're trying to break in. maybe jimmy the door. it doesn't work. they can't get in the door either. so they go to very, very high-tech methods. after they created a little hole with the sledgehammer they then have to get their knife out and start sawing the glass. they eventually remove the glass and then lit
