audrey barnes live at the wilson building with the highlights. >> reporter: good morning t didn't start out as a showdown but it certainly became one. sulaimon brown showed the councilmember money orders that he says were given to him to help then mayoral candidate convincement gray win the election. he says the proof that he was paid off. he specifically blamed lorain grenieri and howard brooks in addition to mayor gray. brown who refused to remove his sunglasses, was agitated and combative especially during questioning by marion barry. >> why did you make those allegations? >> because they're true. >> wait a minute. lets me finish this, before you got hired. you thought it would jeopardize the deal, right. >> you want my answer? >> yes. >> make it short. >> i am going to give you my answer in my time. >> no, you're on my time. come on. talk. >> reporter: now, at one point, barry asked sulaimon brown for he has lost his mind and then he tells him why don't you just shut up. we will have much more on the back and forth between sulaimon brown and the council throughout the morning. steve
