austan goolsbee was our guest. michael on the phone, new haven, connecticut. what will it take to jump-start this economy? caller: good morning, this is anthony. host: i apologize, but glad to hear from you, anthony. caller: small business getting their loans back, major corporations hiring again, and the recovery package was helpful. i am a senior citizen. there is recovery money in the state of connecticut on the highways and everything, and unemployment -- that is not going to do it. that is helpful, but i believe it is a job market where small business needs to start hiring people. that is why the unemployment rate is going higher and higher because they are not hiring. host: steve pearlstein rights what you are saying inside the washington post.
