we had 7 in new york and we're planning to have 17 locations in austin boston and washington d.c. and seattle. this is a great movement. but this is the city we're focusing on with another lease we're planning to sign and we're going to open 5 building which will bring as many as 25 enterprises into this community and help them succeed with a little help from the mayor. why did we which i see central market we have carol and the mayor supporting us but we work not just as a community we work as a plays where we go into a neighborhood and a change the neighborhood. so if you look around you at the small businesses like large companies say this is a small option for them but those people can change a neighborhood. when we talk downstairs and we have investments and idea we change side neighborhood. we have 5 enterprises that can change the neighborhood and the neighborhood can change the city and we took a step towards changing the world. thank you and i'd like to call the mayor (clapping) >> well, let me begin by saying this is exciting. i want to thank adam for this wonderful oppo

boston marathon bombings. this is two hours and 10 minutes. let us good morning everyone. those were seated and those who are standing. less than three months ago the city of austin -- of boston suffered a horrific terrorist attack during the 117th boston marathon. he was there, my son. not as a runner but he was there as people came in from other schools to help be part of the celebration. claimed the lives of three observers and close to 300 people. witnessed the first successful terrorist of bombing in u.s. soil since the september 11 terrorist attacks. as we did in the aftermath of nine/11, we must learn from the boston marathon bombing. that is why this committee has -- out the future time the committee will look at what this tragedy can have -- this tragedy could have been prevented. we will focus on the emergency response to the events that occurred on april 15, 2013. we will examine preparations made by the city of austin and the commonwealth of massachusetts to you with the crisis of this nature. also assess how the city and state and federal government responded. one decade our country has worked to promote effective emergency response systems that help

what you are seeing here are two concentric circles, one around boston so they decided to look within this radius of austin and within this radius of new york. so this is 80 miles out from new york. a line was drawn in order to include hyde park the home of franklin roosevelt but you notice there's another circle here, 25 miles. they didn't want to be any closer to new york city than 25 miles. absolutely not. the conversation the community was three sentences. we are not going in a closer. the new yorkers were pushing hard for flushing meadow queens as the site of the world's fair in 1939. it looks like philadelphia's in the loop right? wrong. philadelphians were shocked to discover that when the list came out of places they were not on it and the reason they were not on it is that they were too close to washington d.c.. the diplomats did not want the united nations to be within the influential round of the national capital. philadelphians never thought of themselves as being close to washington d.c.. we still don't, right? but they didn't take it very well when they got this news from the united nations.
