that's the direction around auto mall parkway. so it's actually just past where our view is right here. but you can see the steady flow of traffic, and it's about typical volume. we don't see any slowing. but at auto mall parkway is where the crash is supposed to be located. maybe off the roadway completely, completely off the roadway. from what i understand, a single vehicle involved there. so we'll get chp updates. n injuries reported. no slowing shows up just yet as you're heading down into the south bay in the south bay. your typical pattern here for northbound 101 does see that slowing right at 5.40 and more significant than yesterday of course, tuesday's having more traffic than monday. we're owing your typical expected pattern through the south bay. keep in mind also there's going to be 680 over here at alum rock. the overnight roadwork there. no problem and no delays through the area. highway nine. over the course of the daytime we'll have that closure over near sanborn. and here overnight. this section of el camino will co

it's north of auto mall parkway. so keep that in mind. and you can see some of those delays already making their way up the san leandro area. taking a look at drive times crockett westbound 80 over to the maze is about a 26 minute commute or so. if you are using 24 walnut creek to 5.80, it's a 13 minute commute. so not too bad there. there was a disabled vehicle in orinda earlier that has since been cleared. we'll take a look at west bound 5.80, castro valley to the maze. a 21 minute commute. lastly, we'll take a look at that bay bridge. you can see the toll plaza. he's pretty packed right now. those financial expert rob black. joining us on this first trading day of the month of december, robin, it looks a little mixed right now in the markets. the dow is off, but the nasdaq's up by more than 200 and what you got your eye on. >> yeah, we just close out magnificent november post-election of markets rallied even more. it's been huge this year. how big the nasdaq's up? 28 1%. wow. there's a lot of growth. tech stocks. s p 500 up. twenty-six

this is at auto mall parkway. these are cars trying to get onto northbound 680. the on ramps, the off ramps, the surface streets, and the freeway itself is jammed. usually it is pretty crowded around this time, but even more so tonight. what's the problem here? a large pothole, it's about a ten mile backup right now on northbound 680, a ten mile backup. our sky ranger is overhead. just a short while ago, that pothole we were talking about was first reported around 1130 this morning. this is near san gabriel and mission boulevard in fremont. crews are repairing the road, but they've closed down three of the four lanes. again, this is northbound 680, in the fremont area. lanes could be closed until 1 a.m. tonight or overnight, if you will. we'll continue to update this story right here on air and online at nbcbayarea.com. also tonight, a troubling investigation in milpitas. police are trying to determine how and why a family of four ended up dead inside of an apartment. investigators say extended family had called to request a welfare check last night, saying they

we got a crash that just popped up along 880 here at auto mall parkway, 880 southbound, just outside both directions. even the dumbarton bridge getting a little bit of a slowdown here this morning might be because of the fog, might be because of the wet road conditions from the rain yesterday. but for whatever reason it is we are seeing slowdowns all over the place. we can finally show you this camera at 880, showing you what oakland looks like in the coliseum. you can see some of the fog that's still kind of lingering on the top part, left side of your screen there. it used to be completely blanketed out. we couldn't see it at all because of just how thick that fog was. and just to remind you of what that looked like, here's the golden gate bridge that never fails to show us how much the fog can really affect our visibility. 831. let's go back to garcia on the desk. >> today, the last day in office for oakland mayor xiang tao, who was recalled by voters last month. >> ktvu tory gaines live in studio to share more details from tao's term. tory. >> good morning. andre. yes, it's tao's
