thank you, ava. the trial of the man accused of killing a gas station owner will begin today. walter bishop killed william porter last year in exchange of $9,000. it is a murder for hire scheme. porter's wife, carla, allegedly hired bishop to carry out the crime but six people were indicted in william porter's murder. we'll bring you much more on the trial tonight. a former pastor will spend the rest of his life behind bars for orchestrating the murder of a blind man. he hoped to collect $1.4 million in life insurance policies on a victim. he pleaded guilty to planning the 2009 murder in which wallace was picked up from his group home and shot in a parked bathroom. he also received a sentence of 45 years for charges related to insurance fraud. brothers james and kareem were acquitted last month of executing the murder. with a special session proposal on the table in annapolis has many marylanders up in arms. the joint committee will hear a proposal to raise maryland's gas tax by 15 cents per gallon over the next three years. not surprisingly a recent survey found 76% of voters
