avalon picking up a little bit in the way of clouds, 76. surf city a delightful 74. look at these numbers, this is impressive, temperatures are anywhere from 12 to 16 degrees cooler right now than they were yesterday at this time. we were at 87 degrees this same time yesterday well on our way to that scorching 893. that doesn't even take into account how it felt with the humidity, we had feels-like temperatures close to 100 degrees in parts of the area. here's the satellite and radar composite we'll focus our attention to the south right off the coast of the carolinas, the virginia cape. next system we're watching is an area of low pressure that will develop along the front that swept through during the overnight hours. that will push north an hug the coast that means clouds for places like avalon and sea isle city, the more in the way in the sun the farther west you go. tomorrow, most cloudy skies for the city and areas south and east. there could be a passing shower the closer to the coast you are. the winds will pick up, as well. we could see winds gusting from 25

our temperatures in avalon at 66 degrees, 63 in woodbine and in prime hook we're at 68 degrees. dry conditions expected for the rest of today. we are going to see a few clouds to start off on your wednesday. and then we're tracking this next system, which is going to transition closer to us. we have a cold front associated with this area of low pressure, so by the time we head into thursday at 4:00 p.m., we are going to be dealing with thunderstorms from reading stretching into allentown, then into the poconos. this entire area of low pressure will continue to track to the south. so, right along this i-95 corridor, trenton stretching into philadelphia, wilmington, all expected to see moderate, even heavy rainfall. you could see heavy downpours associated with some of these storms. and then as we head closer to your evening hours, by 9:00 p.m., right along the shore, that's when we're going to see our thunderstorms for atlantic city, closer to dover, and the southern parts of delaware before clearing out into your early-morning hours on friday. so, by the time you head to work on

sea isle, avalon, ocean city, drys up compared to the heavy rain we had not too long ago.atlantic city seeing the lighter rain. up toward parts of burlington, ocean counties, this is where we start to see more of the heavy rain come back. this will be pushing toward the shore. here it is moving in that direction. all the way down to mullica township. as we look into parts of gloucester county, also by glassbo glassboro, williamstown, victory lake, this is have we had one heavy thunderstorm develop pretty quickly, so the motion on this one, it's not very fast. it seems to be moving mostly to the east. carnlys point seeing the heavy rain and lightning, across 295. this storm is dropping pretty heavy rain. we've seen a lot more lightning in it than we saw earlier. that's really about it. these are mainly traveling to the east. the rest of the area is pretty much drying out. if you take a wider look, it's all because of a cold profront. we're not going to cool down too much behind it, but the air will be drier as we go into tomorrow. future weather shows maybe a few more showe

down the shore, warmer, 73 degrees for atlantic city, beach haven and avalon, cape may 73. that seems to be a popular number. 64 degrees for atlantic city airport and vineland 65 degrees and dover currently 70. we had a few showers that pushed through delaware, still hanging around canton/delaware area. also pushing into portions of southern new jersey. very light shower activity slowly dissipating there as that pushes through. we don't think that's going to be around all morning, so no worries there. future weather, though, shows those clouds still hugging the coastline throughout the morning and also into delaware, clearing a little for philadelphia and also up in the lehigh valley, some clouds, too, but most of the cloud cover will really be down into the shore and also on the beaches for the day today, and then also the chance for showers, that returns in the forecast for tomorrow. so, your forecast for the day today, 76 for allentown, quakertown also at 76. trenton 78, northeast philly at 78 degrees. we'll have a high of 75 degrees for the shore. cape may 75 degrees. 7
