average. in the city by the bay, city of san francisco average high 69 degrees but instead today we topped off at 73 degrees. this evening, a little bit of a breeze out there as the temperature tumbles now into the 50s. today's high 62 degrees in pacifica to 86 degrees. that was right around the vacaville area. it was 96 in livermore. low 90s in san jose. good 10 to 12-degree jump in our inland area. marine layer returning. although patchy. into the 50s. thursday pretty much a carbon copy of what we experienced today. friday a good 10-degree cool down in many areas then over the weekend seasonal conditions from our coast to our inland areas. now, the bottom line is we will have some stratus for openers. not in inland areas but during the afternoon everybody clears out before the evening commute when we see that marine layer push back onshore. so, with high pressure over here, dumb bell highs. we will see the warming continuing and in fact in petaluma a pair of 8s. 75 in san francisco. meanwhile, east of the bay with the westerlies 10 to 20s. 80s through the mid-90s in richmond. low 90s in san
