( averi )police in antioch have a homicide investigation on their hands after a shooting and crash wednesday night. take a look at some video from the scene.police got the call at about 5:45 wednesday evening. they responded to reports of shots fired on the 2100 block of lemontree way. when they got there evidence led them to the victim who hit several cars trying to flee the scene of the shooting. they found the victim on l street near the highway 4 overpass. the victim in this case died from his injuries after being transported to a local hospital.the suspect in the shooting was found inside a home near the scene of the shooting. police say the suspected shooter initially refused to cooperate, barricading himself inside the home- causing a standoff.the unidentified man eventually exited the house and police took him into custody without incident.no word on if there could be anyone else involved in the incident. i'll b

( averi ) a health scare at an elementary school in fremont. more than a dozen students are being tested for h-i-v and hepatitis after a child started poking other students with a diabetic needle. this happened late last month at cabrillo elementary school. one eight-year-old boy told his family he was poked in the arm with a diabetic lancet and it did draw blood. the needle was found in the street at the school near the bus turnaround. 14 children are now getting blood tests. one of the children's great grandparents says the school should have alerted them sooner.
