this one comes from sandy taylor in mount ayr, iowa. sandy says when she makes t-shirt quilts or anything she needs to iron on backing, she'll use parchment paper because it saves iron cleanup. she says put the parchment on top of what you're ironing, and no more nasty cleanup from something melted onto her iron. there's no nasty cleanup to do. it also works to protect the ironing board cover underneath her project. so it's kind of an inexpensive barrier for fusible stuff. we use that all the time in the sewing studio. it's just one more way to use it. use it for paper foundation. i'm going to put this thimble out here. this is from lyn harris, from madrid, iowa. she says she found the perfect thimble totally by accident. her club was decorating tables for a luncheon, and they used a sewing theme. so she decided to use clay that you bake clay items to form thimbles for the party decorations. she used toothpicks to make the holes, and then painted flowers. i'm sure it was labor intensive. after the luncheon, she misplaced her regular thi
