again, this is the azana spa. ort of a landmark business out there near brookfield square. >> a landmark business across from the mall, a very large spa. as we were headed to the area a few hours ago, not having the name of the spa wondering if this was a small time of business establishment or is this a large one? to provide some context, this is a live one. we're not showing you a live picture of it because we don't want to give away the tactical positions of the officers, and we are told this is still an ongoing tactical situation, meaning there could still be a shooter on the loose there or a shooter, at least, on the premises. what we do know is this. on the mall here, a sea of ambulances is gathered behind me waiting at the ready to respond. already emergency crews have managed to take seven people to schrader hospital. four of them we're told have non-critical injuries. three of them we don't know about. three of them have been there for a short time, probably, and we've not got an update at this point from

reports of suburban milwaukee, brookfield to be specific, where there has been a shooting at the azana spa be a day spa across the street from the brookfield mall. there has been a very heavy presence of emergency and fire personnel. this began a little after 11:00 local time. we're told the shooter, the suspect, is still on the loose. the number of people, we know that one hospital in the milwaukee area has received four people being treated for non-threatening injuries. there are three more supposedly on the way, so a total of seven people injured in some way. we don't know how, the hospital wouldn't confirm. mike brooks, the cnn legal analyst who is also well connected in the police community, joins us now on the telephone. mike, what are you learning? >> marty, i'm hearing from my sources close to the investigation there in wisconsin in waukesha county, they have transported seven people to the hospital. we don't know the condition. we don't know if they are life heig life-threatening injuries. they still have not secured the scene. they're still searching for the subject. they believe

other quiet sunday morning in suburban milwaukee, within minutes, turned deadly. 11:00 a.m., the azana spa had just opened for the day. customers already filing in, when a man entered the store and began shooting. frantic spa customers, some in robes, others barefoot, scrambled to get out, running out the door, pounding on cars, screaming for help. >> we saw some woman cal out of the front door and roll down the hill. >> reporter: three people were killed. the suspected gunman. 45-year-old radcliffe haughton, found dead inside the spa. >> and then, a woom came running across and she had said her step-father was in there, trying to shoot as many people as he could. >> reporter: late this afternoon, a bomb squad surrounding haughton's home, after finding an explosive device inside the spa. brookfield, a town of just 38,000, has had to cope with this kind of tragedy before. in 2005, a shooting at a church service inside a hotel here left seven people dead and just 25 miles away, six people were killed in august after a gunman stormed the sikh temple in oak creek, wisconsin. back in brookfield

azana spa over my shoulder, this is the building where all of this allegedly taking place this morning 11:00 this morning. this is the building where witnesses say, somebody opened fire inside the building. as you can see, it is surrounded by police officers at this time. i spoke with one gentleman who said when i came on the scene, that his girlfriend was still inside of the building at the time. as all of this was unfolding. we have seen members of the tactical team enter the building. it's not clear what process they are in. in dealing with the situation. or if even if that suspect, that alleged shooter, remains still inside right now. we do have a brief description of him. we understand he is african-american, around 6'1", 270 pounds, he is bald with brown eyes. he may be and official sources tell us he may be from brown deer. >> reports of a shooting in wisconsin. we're continuing to get information in. we will continue to follow
