b.w. parkway. police say 73-year-old earl teeter surrendered to u.s. marshals yesterday. his trial is scheduled for june. the february crash killed rick warrick and injured his fiancee. the case gained national attention when 911 case revealed an operator told warrick's frantic teenaged daughter to stop whining. that 911 operator is now off the job. the mother of a man shot to death by prince george's police is suing the county. the incident began after michael minor's girlfriend called 911 during a dispute last october. >> he has a gun on him? >> that's what he said. maureen: two officers sponldresponded and confronted minor at the door of the home. witnesses say minor taunted the officers before one shot him. it turned out he was unarmed. the state's attorney defends the officer's actions. >> the family felt they were being terrorized and felt mr. minor was armed. they said as much on a 911 tape. this is the information that the sheriff's deputies had when they responded to the home. maureen: the wrongful death lawsuit was filed today at u.s. district court in greenbelt

b.w. parkway are not satisfied with the charges in the case. derrick ward just spoke to the victim's mother. she explains why. >> reporter: rick warrick and joule pearce were going to get married. it was a dark rainy night where their dreams came to an end. it was on a stretch of the parkway near route 197. 38-year-old rick warrick and 28-year-old jule pearce were struck as warrick changed a tire on the side of the road. he died pearce was badly hurt the driver left the scene. >> we just found out later that he knew he hit someone. we was told he had put the car in the shop the very next day. >> reporter: warrick's mother speaking of that driver 73-year-old earl teeter, a registered u.s. marshal facing charges of leaving the scene of a fatal accident and reckless driving. police located him two weeks after the crash by tracing parts of his van left on the scene after the fatal impact. >> i'm pleased about finding out that they found the person that did it. but i'm not pleased what with the prosecutor's decision. >> reporter: she's troubled with
