. >> jose baez co council in the dramatic murder case. casey anthony accused of killing her baby. casey acquitted with the stunni stunning verdict. jose baez joins me now. mark thanks for coming on. did you and jose speak? is that accurate? what were those conversations to the extent you can tell me? >>> oo the extent is we know that casey is safe and everything else right now we are waiting to see what happened. >> what about casey said about the parents and former accused child murderer now having no relationship? is that the way you see it or is that the way they see it more importantly? >> until they hear directly from casey right now what mr. baez may say is potentially their own opinion. other than that my clients are speaking with casey. >> does that mean that they -- what's the proper expression they forgive her or want to have a relationship with her? her dad's testimony seemed to be very, very negative and pro prosecution the mother obviously as we all know tried her best it seems to testify on her behalf. >> it is interesting you put it that way. both testified truthfull

i also spoke today, cheney, to your co-counsel jose baez. he told me, quote, casey is out of orlando. that may have been obvious to many people. you made it very specific. he also said that your baez and your teams continuing fears for casey's physical safety are complicating the process of arranging the therapeutic setting she needs but that quote, it will be set up shortly with people i trust, jose baez and casey is trying to readjust to life, end quote. you know, what do you know about that and can you see her ever having anything resembling a normal life given the experience you have had in your own family with the people, however unreasonable they may be who it only takes one nut job to make, you know, antidote about an ugly phone ghiewl a tragedy. defense lawyer protect them. all i can say is i know jose is diligently working, trying to get things done for casey. we want her to be able to have the intense counseling that we all know. she needs to rejoin the world after being three years of being locked down 23 hours a day. being vilifi

cheney mason is the defense lawyer who sat co-chair to jose baez at her murder trial and earlier todaywith mr. mason about the personal and legal challenges he and his client will face in the weeks, months and years ahead. your client is reportedly in an unknown location. some are saying in ohio. what can you tell us about where casey is going and what her future plans are? >> well, we're not going to say where casey is or where she's going. plans are to let her rejoin the world and society and have some time to adjust to her newfound freedom. >> mr. mason -- >> it's a difficult world. >> what type of psychological support is in place? i know during the trial there was at one point where your team was concerned about her mental state and to move forward with the trial itself. but what type of psychological support is in place for her now? >> well, there have been a number of psychiatrists and psychologists that have volunteered their services to counsel with casey and try to help her. we have been working on that and pretty comfortable that she will have good experience and professiona

importantly, when they look at this story that baez wants them to believe it makes no sense many linda drane-burdick pointed out beautifully today when she said he's this coo direct the police to his daughter so she can uncover this scheme he has come up with? it didn't make sense. that's what i think the jury hopefully comes back with if they use their common sense. >> judge jeanine: ann, what do you think of those jailhouse tapes? when casey anthony was in jail, her father says, i will do anything to help you. we can go into witness protection. do you think that george anthony is a liar? >> i think he certainly seemed to be when we heard from krystal holloway. there was so much mood music brought in by jose baez, about secret lives, incest, it still sits out there with the for instances he used in -- with the inferences he used in closing arguments. at the end of the day, i think what -- those jailhouse phone calls brought the jury back saying wait a minute, it is not about him. he was there for herk3ñ all along. he was not the most dysfunctional father of the century as he was portrayed to be in the closing argument of jose baez. >> judge jeanine: do y

, jeff ashton and we heard from jose baez and hear from the other defense attorney who is very experienced trial attorney and death penalty cases who was assigned co-counsel in this case. they are going to split that and we'll hear in the last word before the jurors diberate will be from the prosecution, a rebuttal there. it seems as though, joey, the judge is maybe getting fed up with both sides, with baez crossing the line in his closing argument and the facial expressions and alleged laughter from the prosecutor. >> it's inappropriate. the prosecutor did object and that objection was sustained but you know you not allowed to make any type of expression whatever. why? because the jury is looking and evaluating the conduct of all parties. you don't want that sort of conduct to be outcome determinative. the jury needs to focus on the evidence. so i believe both parties are getting a scolding. baez for introducing that into his closing argument and certainly the prosecutor for, perfect is accepting is he was laughing during that. that is what the judge is addressing now. you know he is not too happy with the conduct of the parties at this point. >>

baez, defense unsel, started his closing argument explaining what his biggest fear was in this case, and that it was that you would be making decisions based on emotion. i would never askou to do that. co-counsel has not asked you to do that. the judgeill instruct you that you can in the do that. -- cannot do that and, although thase is, certainly, emotionally charged, we will ask you to make decisions about the facts of this case, based on anything but the testimony that you have heard from the witnesses, and all of the exhibits that you will be able to consider, once you begin the job of deliberating this case. you want to know what my... is? my biggest fear, and i do not under any circumstances mean this as an insult. my biggest fear is that common sense will be lost in all of the rhetoric of the case. that you won't step back and take a look at the evidence as a whole. you have to look at the big picture here. co-counsel, in his opening argument to you, yesterday, talked about rabbit holes. and after h sat down,... >> [inaudible]. >> sustained. look at the big picture.on't we spent two weeks in clear water, questioning all of you, looking for people who would still be able to see t
