of the east bay. a stray bullet strikes a woman and barely misses her young son in the second story bedroom of her antioch apartment. christie smith is live in antioch right now where police are still searching for a suspect. christie, good morning. >> reporter: good morning to you, jon. that's right. antioch police are still looking for that shooter this morning. very scary story. a woman not even safe in her own home. standing inside in an upstairs bedroom near her young son when she was struck in the arm. a bullet flew through the window. the wound is considered minor and she's expected to make a full recovery. again, she was standing near her young son in a room when she was hit. that woman is 31 years old. antioch police tell us that this happened late yesterday evening. they started getting a number of calls pouring in about gunfire happening in the street near sycamore where that woman ended up being shot. >> we arrived after talking to witnesses we found out that down here where we're standing

bay in the orange and yellow is the residential zone within mission bay. * mission bay was originally approved for 6,000 units of residential, of which 30% roughly are affordable. that affordability is achieved through some inclusionary units as well as donations made by the master developer of land sites for the agency to then develop out affordable housing. there is a linear park system that runs through kind of the center of the development there and then south of that, the blue area on the map, is the university campus. this was acreage that was donated by the master developer and the city in conjunction to help give ucsf a brand-new biotech research campus. they're building it out. they're currently about two-thirds complete and it's roughly 2.7 million square feet that they're building there. surrounding that campus, the idea was there would be private sector spill over and collaboration that would occur with office and lab space design to encircle that campus. however, since the plan was adopted, there's been an addition made the green area farther south end of the plan in the

to the south bay we're looking here to the south bay flow of traffic. it's a nice, easy drive for san jose. nothing unusual. we have your typical 5:45 first burst of traffic and slowing 101 just north of 680. this is unusual. i'm taking you down to 152. smooth drive 101 through gilroy. if you are heading out of the area over toward i-5 you'll see slowing right around the reservoir. this is basically the area around the visitor's center. it's a potty break for a lot of folks. in the westbound direction off i-5 coming into our area reports of a deadly crash there blocking two of your three lanes. i just got word from chp that they are letting folks by on one lane. look at the slowing. it's backing up toward i-5 eastbound direction will get distraction but it does look like traffic is flowing just ahea a heads-up for activity in the area. for the commute coming into our area, this is what we're looking at off i-5 in tracy. 205 slows into the altamont pass and then smooth out toward livermore. those are commute directions. we are seeing that early build for
