balboa park. we do not have next bus there. we have others that go there, and we have no indication as to when these buses will arrive, because we do not have next bus. everyone is crossing their fingers in different directions. nobody wants to admit what their responsibility is. it is an untenable situation and very unfair for people in my district. i have been fighting it, for years, in mudslide. it wasn't until recently that i came to realize about balboa park -- i will be fighting it, for years, it appears. pedestrians are constrained to use the balboa park station. we need to have a different approach to it. i am hoping we can have that happen. last year, we approved the better neighborhoods plan for balboa park. ocean avenue. just past city college on ocean avenue, also inclusive of balboa park, and the station itself. we actually zoned it for housing, but the mta does not want to look that pretty housing in trans in-oriented development, along balboa park, -- housing in transit oriented development. 16 to 20 years from n

we started at my school and it's moveed to balboa. to help a lot of kids who are victims themselves of the system. we have kids now who used to hate to come to school and now they are there everyday. they are getting what they need done and moving on. that's a good program. and secondly, the beacon program which, we have 8? >> yes >> we have 8 beacons around the city. they are really wonderful and lead the way to helping us with all of our kids. and i commend the mayor and margaret for help us out with those.

funding in our area plants, and i think it is pretty well known to most of us that the market octavia, balboa, some of our recent plans, the funding was actually about 50% short for what was needed to provide this in the community improvements to meet the projection, so if we are looking at smart growth, this is a great tool for that. there are some specific details in the guidelines that i have been looking at and have been talking to mr. yarne about. one of the things i have been very attended to is that the cac's that are in place have to be strongly involved. it takes years and years of planning work. they are part of the plan itself. this funding to a should be added to the sources of funding to implement those, and they should not be in somewhat overriding that guidance that cac is providing. it is providing sort of a partner or peer role. i just wanted to point out, as mr. yarne said, this does not mean it is bad. we are still looking for funding for some of these others, perhaps. thanks. supervisor mar: is there anyone else from the public who would like to speak? seeing none, public

francis circle, there is no opportunity from there until balboa park to turn. there are no switchback locations on ocean avenue. so a lot of our adjustments on the kt line have to take place on the t line because that is where we have the greatest ability. if we do not take any action on the t line, there is no way to adjust the service physically coming back the subway from embarcadero to the remaining trips on ocean avenue. on the m line, the switches at 19th avenue were in a state of disrepair. they went back into service after the st. francis work. the only location where we could switch back was at broad and the imf, roughly eight minutes from the terminal at geneva, which affected the seven or eight stops. in a lot of cases, what we had to do was make adjustments at the other end of the line at embarcadero by extending trains out to fourth and came, or do what john mentioned earlier, reordering trains. it was necessary to balance the lines. so to your larger question as to the n line compared to others, it has more service. so the opportunity to service i
