one of many that we are undertaking in the balboa park area. some good news, in terms of service improvements to update you on. starting this tack -- this past weekend, on the church we had a variable headway schedule that left a lot of people confused, frustrated, or both. after taking the hearing to the board of supervisors and members of the public, we adjusted that to get service on a consistent nine minutes schedule, which should help to reduce crowding. on the f line, we have increased service every five minutes. we have had a lot of instances where we've were not able to pick up votes in a car. right now we are supplementing with bus service as we get our cars restored. that final part of the respiration issue has been fixed and we should have about seven position of vehicles on by the end of the month. we did not want to wait for those vehicles on this important, high demand service. going to the ballpark on weekends, something that we had a lot of demand for, this is kind of done in conjunction with the express bus, which has been a su

along balboa park station, geneva, san jose, pushing hard to get a ramp for pedestrians. right now, it is dangerous to cross the street, especially if you are pushing a stroller or are in a wheelchair. you have to go further than you but typically have to. there is so much more to do. we have to figure out how to calm the traffic. a lot of cars, speeding through and make it unsafe for pedestrians. sidewalks are not very convenient for people. it takes a lot of money to do that, but it is really about being vigilant and looking at the fund the come through the transportation authority. we have been extending sidewalks in some places to help with pedestrians, trying to put in islands, plantings to slow down traffic. bike lanes have helped. a bit controversial where i live is a bike lane. people do not see as many bikes, but we are seeing more and more common now that the bike lanes are coming in. that makes it safer for pedestrians. we have a bike way on a major street. you do not have as much time to cross, and you cut down one lane for the cars and a pedestrian can then w

one, at long last, the advisory committee for the balboa park station. the plan was approved in january 2009. i think it was my first piece of legislation because i had inherited from my former supervisor from district 11, and since that time, there have been a lot of discussions about how to proceed with land-use issues surrounding the station, and there has been a lot of need for the community to have greater oversight along with greater entities involved around the station including bart, caltrans, muni, dpw. this body will be meeting quarterly to provide input. it will be staffed by the mta if we do approve this, and it will be a great benefit to district 11 and people who have a stake in bell ballpark to ensure that we have transit that meets the needs of riders and neighborhood residents appear willing to make sure we're moving forward with transit that can move the ball park out of the industrial zone. i hope to have your support of that if it comes to committee, colleagues. my next piece of legislation, the resolution, it is actually supporting t

we are moving forward on balboa park, as part of this initiative. we're making a lot of progress and i think that we have a lot to celebrate. and this is all the work that has been done in golden gate park over the last few years and this is just the proposition for the funding for this program. this does not include the museums or the major investments that have been made, that delivered a number of projects to the music concourse fountain, the botanical gardens improvements, and repaving in partnership with the nonprofits and the other funding sources. these are the remaining projects that we are working on right now. we're almost there. the goal is, because we receive funding from the state that we have to deliver, those projects by the end of the calendar year to meet the funding constraints -- we are moving forward with those. and so, the 2008 clean and safe neighborhood parks find, before we go into the implementation, i would like to refresh everyone's memory -- memory about what it took to develop this bond, and the accountability measures th
