going to be working with sfmta and bart and focusing on coordination and coordination around the balboa park project. >> i want to make sure. i appreciate that role t.a. can play. that coordination between mta and bart can be stronger. working together, we can help reach that coordination. >> absolutely. that was my next point. the first balboa advisory committee meeting should be in january. they are just finalizing the details. you'll be seeing that here in the prop a request. the southwest portion of the plaza is moving toward, i believe they're at 100% designing. i believe that starts in february. this project scores well but it doesn't have that complete street corridor wide element. we'll be holding on to the project scored in the middle here and working with bart and finding some other funding strategy for this one as well. the final slide, the next four months, doing project development, public outreach, updating cost assessment and doing detail engineering. february and march coming back to give updates. april all of this building into getting revised obag application. may or june,

this morning between balboa park and daly city. 10 passengers were stuck a little over an hour. crews were able to moved train off the tracks at 9:00. delays were as long as 30 minutes. >>> san francisco's municipal railway marks its 100th anniversary today and to celebrate muni is providing free rides to everyone on board that. includes all the buses, light rain lines and yes, even the cable cars are free. while some riders have their gripes, they are grateful for the free ride today. >> i know muni gets a lot of flack for not always being on time, but it generally gets me where i'm going. so i just hope they can maybe be a little more on time on their 100th anniversary and i'll be excited. >> i think it's great that they're celebrating in a way that helps everyone, too. everyone can participate in the birthday. >> sure can. the free passes started this morning and will continue until 5:00 tomorrow morning, but a heads up. muni is running on a holiday schedule all this week for new year's. >>> well, it's an impressive list. president obama, john boehner, nancy pelosi and harry

along balboa park station, geneva, san jose, pushing hard to get a ramp for pedestrians. right now, it is dangerous to cross the street, especially if you are pushing a stroller or are in a wheelchair. you have to go further than you but typically have to. there is so much more to do. we have to figure out how to calm the traffic. a lot of cars, speeding through and make it unsafe for pedestrians. sidewalks are not very convenient for people. it takes a lot of money to do that, but it is really about being vigilant and looking at the fund the come through the transportation authority. we have been extending sidewalks in some places to help with pedestrians, trying to put in islands, plantings to slow down traffic. bike lanes have helped. a bit controversial where i live is a bike lane. people do not see as many bikes, but we are seeing more and more common now that the bike lanes are coming in. that makes it safer for pedestrians. we have a bike way on a major street. you do not have as much time to cross, and you cut down one lane for the cars and a pedestrian can then w
