it's really for the folks who live in districts 9 and 11 who are using transit to get from balboa park, glenn park, 24th street, 16th street, mission, those are the main beneficiaries, allow them to get into downtown and back for $10 on top of the cost of the monthly muni fast pass. so, it's a great service for the riders because for a modest cost, they get that unlimited bart service in san francisco. they get between those points faster than they would on the surface on muni. and it's great foremuni because anyone who rides along the mission corridor knows ~ many of our buses are at or beyond capacity. we're buying capacity on bart because we don't have it. for us to provide that capacity would certainly strain the resources that we have to manage the system. so, it's a good thing for us. it's a great thing for our riders. bart sees a benefit, too, because it fills some of their seats. although bart itself is beginning to have capacity challenges, particularly at montgomery and embarcadaro. so, we appreciate bart working with us on this to provide that capacity for our riders in san

they decide to remove the balboa park for consideration. and i'll direct our attention to the back and father. the 3 projects we're not recommending is the balboa. they're going to be using other funds for that project and with those funds 0 the project will be delivered a year earlier. and the next project we use this for the prop b streetscape project. it hadn't done a lot of planning but we're able to provide funding from prop k and the south west plaza is under construction from a previous round of one bay area. we're going to continue to work with this to provide you funding for this project. moving forward those are the projects we're able to recommend for funding. the community process was completed very quickly and efficiently for this project. it's a joint project with the municipal transportation and department of public works. we're recommending a little bit less than requested to make sure we downsize the program. the balance we're going to do use prop k so fast one is fully funded for the bike project. and again for context of

we had a problem in balboa park where people would show up in a car and say my phone went out. if you see them they are a hundred yards away and the person hands them the unlocked phone and you can figure out what happened next. we stood there and handed out cards to them and warned them that this was happening. we have a letter at the station that goes out and we list all the significant crimes. if we see a trend like the one we described, we put a crime alert at the top of the letter and safety tips for you. we try to alert the public. the rest is up to us for enforcement. we have mini operations. we do op orders every month and we focus on areas and we place officers where they are doing bus inspections at those hours. the traffic and pedestrian safety issue is huge . i know the department is very large. the goal of the ingleside station is to make it the safest and easiest to live in. so those are the things we want to keep in mind. anything we can do through our enforcement to reduce crime and make people feel safe and there is also issues with traffic and pedestrian safet
