baltimore mayor brandon scott, just sworn in as mayor ten days ago, a democratic, in the middle of this historic public health crisis. mr. mayor, congratulations to you, first of all. you served on city council for nine years. you know the city of baltimore well. talk to us a little bit about the financial challenges that your city is facing because of this pandemic, both for the government and for the folks who live in baltimore. >> craig, thanks for having me. we know this pandemic has wreaked havoc on everyone, government and citizens alike. we've been working hard to support our businesses and residents at the municipal level. we know the reality is we need support from washington, and not having direct support for local government is ridiculous. when you're talking about the amount of money the city is putting up for food pantries, delivering food, creating opportunities. we've given millions in grants to our restaurants and bars, making sure we're getting funds to them because we're having to put in restrictions because we have to fight this pandemic through a lens of public health. we need the federal government's help. we have a great federal dale gags here in the city of baltimore,
