he was arrested by baltimore county police after chatting with the person he thought was a 13-year-old girl, but that person was actually retired los angeles police officer. if convicted, he faces up to 20 years in prison. baltimore city police are searching for one of three suspect they say tried to rob an off-duty officer. it happened moments after the officer finished his shift. he was approached at a bus stop. authorities say when one suspect showed a gun, the officer shot him. that person was taken to a hospital. a second suspect was arrested. the third person is still on the loose. baltimore county police are searching for the person who burglarized five churches in a week's time. three of those centers are in the same town. authorities say the burglaries' are connected. they believe the suspects wanted quick cash. one place it was st. stephen's episcopal church on chapel road. father james johnson said thieves got away with money, one, and a lunch box. he said the burglary was unnecessary. >> our help does go out to those who felt desperate enough to do this, and we always assis

topping the "late edition" tonight baltimore county coach charged with soliciting sex from a minor. >> karen parks standing by live at baltimore county police headquarters with the latest on the story tonight. karen? >> well, jeff, police say 32-year-old charles fridel attempted to solis sex from a 14-year-old and all started with a text found by her parents. now detectives say they were contacted july 6 from the victim's parents about inappropriate text messaging being sent from 32-year-old charles fridel to their 14-year-old daughter that is the sister of one of the players on the team fridel coaches. police say he requested explicit pictures from the girl and asked to meet her for sex. undercover detectives assume the girl's identified and continued to have conversations with fridel. set up a meeting and that's when he was arrested. he is charged with sexual exploitation of a child and possession of child pornography. >> this is a soccer coach that parents entrust. he has breached their trust. by doing this. and now we are concerned that maybe more victims are out there. we hope not. but if there are, we want to know about it to find out
