but back in new york, barbara bowman said she was distraught. >> and i was so freaked out and gettingesponse was crushing. >> bowman said she turned to a lawyer. >> he didn't believe me. and called my claims preposterous. that's bill cosby you're talking abo about. that's all it took, one more person not to believe me. >> bowman did not file a police report. after that, why didn't you sever all contact with him? >> it wasn't like that. i was a prisoner. i was completely and utterly dependent. >> dependent and with no choice. when she says cosby and her agent moved her to long island 25 miles away from manhattan. and why did they move you out here? >> i don't know. you know, i felt like they were hiding me in this tiny little world and i was isolated from everybody. one of the rules was, no visitors. it was very restricted. >> restricted, isolated, and controlled, she says. >> it was like i was always on edge. >> it was while you were living here that atlantic city happened. >> yes. bill cosby invited me down to the shore. he was performing down there. >> she went. once she got to her

she says that she does remember barbara bowman talking about this she does remember barbara bowman beingidarity. she was sort of the catalyst. is this why you chose brash bowman as the focus? because she's the focus of the special tonight? >> yeah. there had always been whispers about women who said that cosby had attacked -- assaulted them but it was barbara bowman who never really backed down and then this recent round where more than two dozen women have come forward, barbara bowman is the one who started it because she published this column in "the washington post" saying bill cosby raped me. >> this is a dangerous situation for participation. it takes boldness for these women to come out, no question about it. but it will be solidarity on the basis of speculation because you haven't had any of this proved out because there have been settlements. do you have this troubling dynamic in the complete credibility because of something that may be nothing. but when you hear it escalated to the eventual rape that's a red flag for people. so you were with him, it was fine you liked it you wen
