. >> good afternoon, commissioners barbara hale general manager for energy i have 3 things to report on personnel and legislation reforms and sneak peak on the next activities first off happy to announce we're placing michael in our position of acting director of the program yeah. michael is here (clapping) >> michael has been with the cac program back when i first came to the puc he went off and learned more working in new york for the port authority and has come back to us been part of our regulatory and legislative team and directing it and stepping into the role of the actressing director thank you to him for joining us in that effort for leading us in that effort at the staff level the next item on prevention active reform we have i told you we need to have changes in the way we contract so we can perform our work exceedingly for our overhead procurement program we're moving forward towards

. >> no problem thank you it's nice to be here this evening so barbara hale assistant general manager. we worked as mr. fried mentioned we worked in collaboration with enernex and lafco to prepare the report that enernex put before the agencies and there's five key points i want to emphasize from a business perspective. first setting the energy price and figuring out the mix of supply you can afford and mr. syphers made the same comment. phased implementation is smart with a two-tiered offering include light green and price -- the basic first tier light green type of offering at pg&e rates include build out out with expansion of the program and finally it may impact rates. it's sort of a tension that we all have to keep an eye on. the study was very helpful to us. i think we have good strong policy alignment now which was something missing prior to the study effort. we've also, while that study was underway and collaborating on it, we've also been doing our own business planning effort at the at the at the puc that business plan outlines our business opportunities including community

we have been working very closely with barbara hale and her team over at puc over how the timing of this might roll out. there's a lot going on with respect to the launch of cca and in parallel with that we'll be working with michael and with barbara to anticipate what we need to do at the cpuc to get permission to launch our own independent energy efficiency programming. i don't don't know when that final result with the cpuc will be finished. however, it may not coincide directly with launch. but what will happen at launch is we will continue the current programs that we already have, so there will not be a break in service, but the actual launch of the new cca informed energy efficiency, the timing on that is a little bit questionable. we don't know exactly how long that will take. we're looking very carefully at the experience of sonoma and marin as they are involved with a similar request with the puc it's going to be very important that san francisco stay engaged with the puc for us to overcome some of these regulatory barriers by the iou's, by the utilities, we need to demonstrate
