i'm barbara harrison. >> i'm keith russell. wednesday, may 1, 2013. we begin with breaking news about that double shooting in northeast d.c. within the past hour we have learned one of the victims has passed away. the shooting happened just before 8:00 this morning. tony tulls that latest on the investigation. >> reporter: that investigation still very active at this hour. we are going to show you a sense of the scene now. you can see police have the area blocked off. lots of evidence markers down there laying in the street. now it started about 8:00 this morning. pd received a cowl for people shot. they found one gentleman here in the street. he has since been pronounced dead. they found another person shot one block over on sim street. that's with your the second victim was found. they transported both of them as we mentioned that one man was pronounce dead and second man was shot in the leg. expected to be okay. now, we talked to chief lanier and she said they are not actively looking for a suspect because they believe they have who is responsible

i'm barbara harrison. thursday, may 23, 2013. we have new information on the brutal killing of a soldier in london. news4's melissa mollet is at the live december. >> that's right. we are getting more information & security has been increased across london. now here is what we know at this point. investigators now saying that both suspects were part of previous investigations porpoise terror sxlings know they are they are accused of hacking off the off-duty soldier while horrified bystanders watched in south london yesterday. probably see thing video. this morning, police have been searching several locations to try to determine whether they were part of a wider terror plot in that area. david cameron held a meeting earlier today. after the attack as you saw there, bloody hands and knives and boasted about the crime. also warned of more violence in london. the family of the victim asked that the soldier's identity not be released. we know the suspects were both shot in the legs. no word yet on their conditions. >>> today presiden
