i'm joined now by our correspondent barbara valle who's in brussels monitoring the situation barbara there's a new proposal from the european council president it's on the table will this be any more acceptable to the more frugal members there. at this it's getting there because we've heard positive noises from several members the austrian chancellor for instance just said that it's going in the right directions the talks were intense which is a diplomatic speak for there is quite a battle raging ongoing and that's a good sign because as soon as it gets to the point where they turn and in circles for several hours and everybody says no no and no again it's time to break up and try again but we haven't reached that point yet so to date to end it's ongoing there which fling away at the figures that's what they're doing at the moment and they're sort of rejigging the packages within this big recovery deal and within the european budget a little bit more for agriculture and little less for something else a little less for signs for instance we hear the protests from the lovely groups com
