i know the car barn and district 11 very well. oftentimes, start of classes when working with young people -- i grew up in the valley but i was not one of those kids that slapped on the corner in the valley. i was one of those kids trying to make my way past those kids that were simply standing on the corner. oftentimes, where i was trying to make my way too, was often to a place of what we envision the new geneva car barn and powerhouse to be. so with that, i want to give you some highlights on some of the programming that has been happening at the car barn in the past few years and demonstrate some of the bible models we developed and also the desire on the park with young people and communities to support the projects such as this. as some of you may know, and has been mentioned, in 2009, there was a ramping up of development for the geneva car barn and powerhouse project. is included not only the development sites, but also the development of arts and cultural programs. as nicole mentioned, there were many discussions in the c
