erin: we start with a developing story out of barnstead. police and firefighters spent the night at the scene of a fire in oxbow road. sean: ray brewer live from the fire department in barnstead this morning. i understand one person was seriously hurt in this. when firefighters arrived, they found one person outside of the home. the person was transported. no ward on their condition yesterday. firefighter describe him as seriously injured. it was just about 11:00 when firefighters were called to 80 oxbow road in barnstead. when they arrived, they had flames shooting 50 to 60 feet in the air. firefighters were hampered in their access. you can tell it is a rural area. some powerlines had come the fire captain says they had problems getting water to the scene because of the drought situation. many of their fire ponds are low. they went to three alarms to bring additional personnel and tankers to the scene. the fire captain says it took about an hour and a half to get the fire under control. at one point there were 200 firefighters there. no o

live in barnstead, ray brewer, wmur news 9. for today on the man who died at a fire in seabrook. we first told you about the fire yesterday morning. they have not released the victim's name. the state fire marshal's office is still trying to figure out how the flames started. the fire was contained to a first floor apartment and other residents of the building should be allowed back in soon. sean: hurricane matthew started pounding southern haiti overnight. the center of the storm is expected to pass near the tip within the next couple of hours with torrential rains. the powerful category 4 storm is already blamed for at least three deaths in the caribbean and the worst is yet to come with forecasters say rainfall could top three feet in some areas of haiti where more than 1,000 shelters are now open. there are also concerns about massive mud slides with a second landfall expected later this morning in eastern cuba not far from guantanamo state of emergency with the forecast showing potential impacts along the east coast there.
