fernando chavez barron was killed. city officials revealed that the man posted what they're coming a death note on his cell phone. cnn's brian todd has that story. what do we know about that? >> reporter: this is all about the shooter's grievances and his anger. not just at his colleagues, but with himself. the city of chesapeake says this was found on the shooter's phone. it discusses god, the holy spirit and how the author felt his associates at work were mocking him. here is one passage from that note. quote, the associates gave me evil, twisted grins, mocked me, and celebrated my downfall the last day. that's why they suffer the same fate as me, end quote. here's another. i wish i could have saved everyone from myself. my god, forgive me for what i'm going to do. end quote. the note also discusses how the author wished his parents had paid closer attention to what he calls his social deficits and he said that he felt like he was, quote, led by satan, and the note says this attack was not planned, but the fact that

this morning, authorities released the name of the youngest victim, 16-year-old fernando chavez-barron. friends say the high school student had just started working the overnight shift at walmart in order to help his family. we have a lot of news to get to tonight. cbs' kris van cleave is here, and starts us off with more on these horrifying details. kris. >> reporter: well, jericka, as the police investigation continues, it now gives us some sense for a possible motivation for this shooting. the community is continuing to come together, planning a citywide vigil for the lives lost on monday. it was a thanksgiving gathering for the grieving in chesapeake, virginia, last night, as dozens came to the growing memorial outside the walmart to remember the youngest of the six victims shot to death inside tuesday: 16-year-old fernando chavez- barron. >> i was hoping it was a dream, until today. i wish he was still here standing with me. >> reporter: loved ones at the vigil tell cbs affiliate wtkr, fernando had just started working at the walmart, and used his first paycheck to buy gifts for h

yesterday we're looking it was just all of those barron brush along the side of the roads. now that snow just kind of fill up the roadways right now in good news. we've got more on the way as a series of storms likely to impact the sierra nevada. and of course, the bay area too out there right now. we've got winter storm warnings there in effect until 11 o'clock on wednesday evening. and yeah, going to see several inches of snow tonight. and then when you start out of totals, maybe over a foot of snow above 7,000 feet. so watching that in the high country, if you're traveling up there and the next day and a half, you've got to be going up there, even as the main front is going to move on through. you can see they're getting the bulk of the snow now, but then it becomes more scattered snow showers and you'll see this pop up. snow showers and see that ramp up again. so if you head up there tomorrow, don't expect things to be just wide open and clear. you may run into some delays just because of that snow up there as well behind that things begin to tail off just a little bit
