our laura barron-lopez joins us now on the ground in atlanta. at least 10,000 people have registered for that rally tonight where you are. i know you've been talking to folks as they make their way into the stadium. what have they been telling you in how are they feeling? laura: people have been lined up out here, jeff, since before -- geoff, since before 10:00 a.m at this venue in atlanta. a lot of voters are incredibly excited. for some it's the first time they've come to a big political rally. i sat down with three black women voters earlier today to talk to them about the election cycle and those voters, i asked them how they feel about all the big change that was occurred in this election just in the last week. >> prior to president biden dropping out of the race, how would you describe how you felt about the election in one word? >> i hate to say it but i really felt this sense of doom. and dread. >> nervous. >> i felt scared. laura: how do you feel now? >> rejuvenated. >> hopeful. >> optimistic. laura: that matches the mood of voters wait

amna: our white house correspondent laura barron-lopez is at the nato summit.as been the response from the biden team to these latest calls from more lawmakers for him to step aside? laura: president biden, some of his closest as visors went to be hill today to meet with senators including the campaign chair and two of his top advisers in the white house. senators were pretty mum coming out of that meeting not offering much. but we know that what those advisers were trying to communicate to the senators was that they still have a pathway to 270, multiple pathways they say. and we got a taste of what the biden campaign's argument is in a memo that the campaign chair sent out to supporters today and also sent internally to the campaign staff and in that memo, o'malley dillon says there was no seachange after the debate and that they have multiple pathways to 270. she said right now winning the blue all states, michigan, wisconsin, and pennsylvania, is the clearest pathway, but we also believe the sun belt states are not out of reach. the consensus being across in
