barton is with us now. your reaction to the rising virus caseload. what do you have? >> well, stuart, i think that there's an interesting dichotomy here. we have seen the caseload go up, up, up and you have talked about 41 states, but the mortality rate i think is what traders and investors are seeing gives us a little bit more optimism that despite rising caseloads, the severity is not showing up. now, that will usually have to have a little bit of delay to see if that happens, but i think the fact that that mortality rate has ticked up just a little bit, that it's lagging so much, we are dealing with this better, our hospitals are not as overloaded. they are overloaded in some places. and that's giving the market some continued optimism that the fed won't react to this and be worried about an economic downturn because of the caseload. stuart: all right. tell me about the election risk. that was a very low approval rating for the president in the latest poll that we have seen here. is there election risk being built into this market? >> oh, i think there is a bunch o

barton. let's talk vaccines. lot of positive news here on vaccines. is that part of what's driving this market? >> yeah, absolutely. you know we have seen as the news has come out, we can go back a month with moderna, then we can see pfizer then astra-zeneca all these times where we get that come in we are seeing a real punch as the headlines come out. so investors and traders are certainly watching this news and i think we can't discount that therapeutic end, either. while the number of cases is going up we are not seeing the mortality rate the death rate click up nearly as much and i think those therapeutics are helping us a lot as well. stuart: we need them d.r. we really need them for all kinds of reasons, obviously, but we got that jobs number this morning which really wasn't very promising. the rate of growth of the economy's beginning to slow down. the recovery's stalling. not good for stocks, d.r. >> no and i think the big numbers out of virginia of all places my home state where i grew up and california i think are showing that we are getting

barton with us? i wanted to ask d.r. a quick question here. we just seem to want to go higher, d.r.s. at what point do stocks perhaps look a little expensive? >> well, i don't think they look expensive for a long way from here, ashley. i don't think in absence of any good china -- negative china news, i don't think for the next couple of weeks there's a lot to slow us down. negative coronavirus data is being offset by lower fatality rates, lower mortality rates and that combined has the market going up. ashley: very good. let's check tesla. i saw this number come down today, their deliveries in their latest quarter was 90,000 plus. remarkab remarkable. susan, sorry, i just gave that away. how many cars did they deliver exactly? how many exactly? susan: take that 90,000 delivery vehicle number really into context because that's way better than forecast. even the most bullish forecast was looking for deliveries of just around 83,000. the average was 72,000, 83,000. 90,000, way above that. that's why the stock is at yet another record high. don't forget, tesla was below $200 just in ma
