the cape fear river basin, the santee river basin, and northeastern south carolina.t water is just going to spread out. the rainfall totals in some of these coastal areas, 10 or 20 inches, some computer models are saying we could see 30 inches. some other computer models earlier had said 40 inches of rainfall. so where is that rain going to go? well, we've got that flow that's moving on shore and then the rivers are going to fan out. so you could be way inland in north carolina, way inland in south carolina, and you are still going to see the potential for extreme flooding. remember matthew? even interior sections of south carolina, columbia, south carolina, where some of the homes are still just sitting there after water was up on the second floors. that was two years ago, 2 1/2 years ago. >>> all right. here's a different perspective with a hurricane. you get a lot of dynamics in the atmosphere, so we have this tornado watch in coastal sections of north carolina. here's the eye. doesn't look all that impressive. it's still holding together, though, 90 mile an hour

india basin is located in the bayview-hunters point community. it's skbrust northwest of the hunters point shipyard and north of hunters point hill. the entirety of the the project consists of 38 acres and can be further divided into two components. as you see on the diagram before you, the northwest half or i should say the third of the site is proposed to be developed by rec and park. it consists of the existing india basin shoreline park and also the newly acquired site at 900 innes. 900 innes is most known as the site for the historic ship wrecks cottage. referred to as 700 innes, it consists of another r.p.d. project that we refer to as india basin open space, and then 700 innes itself, which is approximately 17 acres of privately owned parcels, and then also unimproved public works right-of-way. so if we zoom out a little bit to put this in a little bit of a context, this project is being envisioned as part of a series of open spaces within the india basin neighborhood, including the existing improved and new open space starting with heron'

this i this hm is the india basin project.it is just the project sponsor -- it is another of the southern bayfront projects he saw on the additional -- initial map that you saw just now. it is an interesting spin on the proposals that we are just talking about and that up again, the port process involvement is to facilitate shoreline parklands and also to confirm in the trust the shoreline lands and release upland lands from the trust. this project has already proceeded much further. the agreements are being finalized and approvals are being sought in the next few weeks. this is an opportunity to see a project that has been more fully defined. i will have answers to a number of the questions that you asked on the last item. and then, will talk a bit about how the port is stepping into its role as trustee and limiting it's liability for the questions are asked at the last item. today's presentation will be with courtney with a more detailed breakdown. i want to take responsibility for having counselled them not to do more gener
