and the trans bay tube at this morning. two vehicles to work vehicles collided this morning gripping up hundreds of feet of real.railing. jackie sissel is live at the oakland bart station. >> i am at a west oakland bart station and this is the station and that is right before you go into the trans bay tunnel. this is the one that you would normally see a huge back up out here. so far, it has been pretty quiet. i went on the platform to take a look at it and you could see trains waiting in the station with passengers inside of the trains waiting as the trans bay tube nuclear is. we'll go back to exactly what happened there at 3:00 this morning, maintenance was being done inside the trans bay tube tunnel. at that point, to meet its vehicles collided inside the tunnel. one of those was a track grinder vehicle that was part of that collision. at that point, that shut down one of the two tracks and side of the trans bay tube tunnel. that means we will have to single track through that tunnel. to give an idea of what that means,

"today in the bay's" bob redell is live at the u.s. geological survey in menlo park with new video of when the quake struck. good morning. >>> good morning to you, marla. i'm here at usgs. the reporting and other aftershock, in plumas county where the epicenter is reported. nowhere as large as severe at the 5.7. in this age of video cameras, you get a pretty good sense of what that shaking and rumbling was like last night. this is around the 8:00 to 9:00 hour. grocery store in greenville, that's the town where the epicenter is located. put this video up on its facebook page. it shows items falling from the shelves when the quake hit. you can see the lights starting to flicker. one man posted this youtube video. it showed a crack that formed after the quake struck. he showed video of water leaking out of his pop during aol. people reported that they felt this 5.7 even though its epicenter was in greenville in plumes county. that is more than 100 miles northeast of sacramento. >> what's interesting is how far south in the great valley yo

rest of the bay area seeing clear skies, looking at the bay bridge, rooftop camera, san francisco 54. we have 59 in mountain view. 54 in half moon bay. and atop mount tamalpais and some of the clouds are moving through the golden gate. 60 in fairfield. 57, union city. clouds are on the increase and high and mid-level clouds. it will be breezy. rain tomorrow, memorial day and mainly in the north bay where they could pick up a quarter of an inch. then a big warmup as we head into thursday, friday and saturday. overnight lows, with the clouds moving in. we see all the folks in the mid to low 50s. here is a look right through the cold front holding together nicely. moisture field already moving into the north coast. here is a look at our tiling. by 9:00, ukiah, cloverdale down to santa rosa. we should see a little bit of light rain and it slowly sags south by noontime. we're looking at most of the moisture in the north bay, 1:00, through 3:00 in theafternoon and sag south by 4:00. you can see most of that moisture combined to the north bay. tomorrow evening look for the peninsula and east

ought bay area is waking up to strong winds with damage in some communes from the north bay to the peninsula, and it is white knuckle driving for some commuters. amy hollyfield is at the bay bridge toll plaza. >> it is very windy out here. the c.h.p. canceled the wind advisory on the bridges. wish they checked with me before they difficulty. i don't know if i would support that decision. look at the flags at the toll plaza. it is really blustery. if you heard it roaring, you will feel it when you get out here. look at this video, winds caused some problems. look at this car in millbrae, a tree came down and hit the vehicle and shatter shattered the windshield. no one was hurt, and in mill valley, another tree came down at the same time and that happened at 9:10 on northern avenue near highway one that fell fell on power lines. the wind situation is improving this morning and they took away the high wind advisories on the bridges and that was when a trailer or small truck, box trucks, were supposed to be careful because you could get tossed about up here. it is still very windy, keep that thi
