nbc bay area. we respond. next. >>> nbc bay area responds to a san jose man who has been battling pg&e for seven months. >> consumer investigator chris chmura is here with this story. >> this all started when pg&e had to dig along manor lane for maintenance work on multiple gas lines. take a look. charles snapped photos of what he called an up rooted front lawn and poorly patched sidewalk. after several months of complaining charles got pg&e to fix the grass but not the sidewalk. so he reached out to us. after our call pg&e promptly remarried charles' sidewalk but there's a hiccup and video that he shot right there on the right side of the screen. while fixing the sidewalk he says workers damaged his sprinkler system. so we put pg&e on speed dial. called again. they came right out and fix it that problem, too. in an e-mail to us charles thanked our team saying we made a miracle happen after pg&e ignored him for months. he calls up with of our researchers inside our consumer investigative center the best. we'll

still moderate for the north bay, east bay, and south bay.ll be some areas of smoke drifting in from the north bay. and the peninsula still looking good. so we do start out with northerly wind once again that carries the smoke from the clayton fire farther to the north into the bay area. so you may see these hazy conditions. and then as those temperatures heat up, we'll also have om high levels of ozone. and then as the wind shifts in from the west, a little bit later on this evening we'll see things kind of clearing out, feeling a little bit cooler with our natural air conditioning kicking in. and our wind speeds at 10 to 15 miles an hour. looking at the day in oakland, some clouds to start. lit be 59 degrees at 8:00. lunchtime, 66 degrees. beautiful weather to take the lunch outside. some low 70s there. and once again it will be nice and breezy. highs reaching into the 80s and even some mid 90s for the south bay. gilroy up to 95. school starting there. palo alto, 79 degrees. 65 in the castro. it will be 83 in napa today while 73 in oakland.

bay and tri valley. temperatures warm in the tri valley tomorrow, 88 for the north bay, 90 tomorrow for the south bay. the fog, again, is expected to roll back in tonight. and it will be pretty thick across the inner bay. but it it rolls out here by 8:00 tomorrow morning. at the coastline it will stay foggy at least until about noon. and the winds are really not going to be a huge issue but they'll continue to gust in the afternoon. that's the thing you're going to notice for tomorrow. same for monday, not a whole lot of gusty winds. from time to time especially in the afternoon you'll notice it will be a little bit breeze. 75 tomorrow in san mateo. mid-60s expected for san francisco. the tri valley, look at that, 90 for places like danville, pleasanton up to 91 degrees, livermore 92. comfortable in oakland, 71 degrees. rio, forecast for tomorrow brazilian time, 7:00 a.m. tomorrow morning they'll wake up with clear skies, sunshine, 84 degrees, not bad at all. for our forecast here at home, we've got a co

so our air quality will be a moderate for the north bay, east bay, as well as the south bay. and expect a high to top out at 100 degrees today in gill roy. in san mateo up to 180 -- 81 degrees. fremont 85. concord 84. and pleasanton 87 degrees. all the heat because of high pressure. it will be slow to move as we go through the week. fighting back the strong joan shore flow. we won't have the natural air-conditioning. you'll have a nice cool coastline. that will be about it. it won't make it over the hill. we'll have highs reaching into the 90s en e over 100 degrees with some very dry conditions. looking at what to expect for san francisco through the rest of the week. we will be in the upper 60s today. mid 70s by wednesday. and for the inland areas up to 99 degrees on wednesday. and then we start to see the heat slowly backing down. we'll see a drop by about 10 degrees on saturday. >>> now as we head to mike you have a new crash in the south bay. >> right. a change of traffic is possible because of elementary schools starting in south bay today. a smooth flow of traffic aside

but it's also going to be impacting the north bay, east bay, peninsula and south bay. not the sunniest of starts. and you might even need a light jacket to begin. all this cooler air has been sparked off by the jet stream. it took an unusual dip to the south, hoping to beef up the marine layer. but we also have two different systems right now offshore and wrapped around that is some slightly cooler air. that's what will help to keep temperatures near average to slightly below as we head into the first part of the weekend. one spot i want to take a look at for tomorrow that's going to have some fantastic weather is san jose. you're going to be able to see here, as we mentioned, we'll start with temperatures in the upper 50s and low 60s around 9:00 a.m. by the noon hour, 73 degrees. and by the afternoon, looks like our max temperature is only going to be at 81 degrees. so pretty much a perfect day if you have anything happening tomorrow in san jose, or throughout the silicon valley. even a little cooler for cupertino at 78. for the peninsula, half moon bay expect areas o
