we're talking about the hills of the north bay, east bay, diablo range and the santa cruz mountains. could see wind gusts just before and after sunrise tomorrow, about 45mph, and the wind direction is dry and offshore. and you'll notice the peak wind speeds around 5 a.m. on the higher hills there of napa county and throughout solano county, as well the inland east bay valleys from about 5 a.m. to noon tomorrow, and then by tuesday evening and wednesday night, those wind speeds do start to come down. so the culprit for this high pressure to the west, strong low pressure there east of southern california, where there's the potential of damaging wind gusts there near la and orange counties. this pattern relaxes as we get into wednesday and thursday, but notice what's missing in the forecast here. high pressure holding on. no signs of rain over the next few days. now stay tuned. we'll let you know what the impacts are on your temperatures and when the next rain chances may materialize. coming up with chief meteorologist jeff ranieri. full forecast coming up today at five. back to you. an

this is going to be the chilliest part, inland east bay communities and north bay communities with midto possibly lower 30s, petaluma possibly 34 degrees early tomorrow. so warm winter weather gear is necessary to start off your tuesday, but by tomorrow afternoon, we will be warming up again to well above average across the bay area. we'll see high temperatures sitting in the 60s from our inland communities to coast, although you might be upper 50s in point reyes, but for january, we'll take it. it's going to remain well above average, warmer than we should be feeling this time of year. normally we're in the upper 50s. enjoy it, though, while you can because if we look at our seven-day forecast, you'll see a cooldown by the end of the seven days. by this weekend we'll be back to seasonable, normal for this time of year. it depends how much you love the warm air, how much you'll enjoy this week. if you liked the past couple days, a very similar pattern is in store at least through thursday, friday more cloud coverage and saturday and sunday more seasonable temperatures approaching. i ho
