they do want to fly over the major science center museums here in the bay area. up in oakland, they have a viewing party, in berkeley, then across the bay, the golden gate bridge. we understand they'll probably get a low buzz-cut flyovers at 1500 feet. the bay area discovery museum in sausalito will get a flyover. so will the exploratoryum. this will be a tribute to the men and women here at nasa ames who helped launch the program. they perfected the heat shield tiles and performed early wind tunnel tests. this is also where astronauts came to train in the shuttle simulator. some of those very astronauts, including steve robinson who flu "endeavour" will be here at today's tribute and they're also here to say goodway to the fifth and final shuttle in the space program that flew over 122 million miles during 25 missions. of course she'll head south later today and eventually go on display in a museum in los angeles. you might be able to hear some of those astronauts speak. there's a speaking program starting at 8:00. gates open at 6:00. you need a parking permit. i
