you'll see rain across the central bay area. pressing towards the south by 10 or 11:00. the rainfall projections right now should be highest up around some of these north bay hill tops. through 1:00, mostly a accumulations there. san jose unfortunately a little rain shadowed as air drops down into the valley. temperatures tomorrow in the mid-50s into san jose. no matter where you go you'll see numbers in the mid-50s for tomorrow. the trend through monday and tuesday, a bit warmer for temperatures. here comes storm number two, monday into tuesday you'll begin to see the rain fly again, north bay will probably see the rain monday into tuesday. then a break coming on wednesday. so we've got a third system coming in for christmas, and that's good news, because even though we've been having a lot of rain lately, we've had such a dry november that we're still running about 30 to 60% average from oakland towards the north day. the snowpack looks better than last year. the pattern has a new forward, it looks very favorable. every one to two days we'll see this system dropping in.

we had this thunderstorm rolling in across a good section of the bay area. just in case you missed it, a lot of people in the east bay woke up to scenes like this as hail covered the ground. some two to three inches high after this thunderstorm that rolled through at about 2:00 and 3:00 in the morning, as the hail lasted for about two to five minutes. this is from our sidewalk right at our front door. just unbelievable. that is definitely a sign that el nino is here, and the storms being impacted el nino are going to be here to stay as we head throughout january, february, and also into march. a look at the doppler radar right now. you'll see we have started to slow down from the activity. there is a little bit of isolated storms offshore, but the general trend is we're at least calming down for the next 24 hours before we get the next storm moving back in. skies are darkening in the south bay. currently 55. east bay at 52. we have had a few spotty showers in san francisco and also the north bay. so what can you expect for tomorrow morning? it is going to be

so the latest estimates for rainfall, areas in the north bay. 're talking just to the north of sonoma county. getting to the north coast, may see 5 to 8 inches of rain up here in the areas you see here in yellow. bay area right now looks like the north bay could pick up 1 to 3 inches of rain and less into san jose. all of that coming through with that thursday storm right there. a lot of wind. we'll have winds up to 40 miles per hour on thursday. so both wind and rain. then as we head towards the weekend now, starting to look like that rain may get started as early as saturday. so the two storms coming in wednesday for the north bay. everybody gets into it for thursday. and yes, the second system coming in for the weekend. and look at the temperatures with the weekend system. highs in the mid-50s, which is great news for being a big snow producer in the sierra. could see two to three feet of snow. a lot of ski resorts could double their snowpack as we go lew the next seven to ten days. a close look at that coming up in the next half hour that. >>
