overnight tonight, look for low temperatures, mainly in the low 50s around the bay shoreline, upper 40s in most inland areas maybe showery conditions we will see high temperatures right around 60, 62 degrees in most locations, though a little cooler, mainly upper 50s in the north bay. then in comes the main event, the stronger storm on sunday. it ranks two on the storm impact scale. it is expected to produce rainfall totals between half an inch and an inch and a half. we will see wind gusts of 30 to 40 miles per hour perhaps, even stronger at times, and we can expect rough and dangerous surf. here is the forecast animation for that one. starting at midnight tomorrow night going into early sunday morning, we will see the rain become well-organized and widespread across the north bay. these yellow and orange areas indicate heavier downpours. we will see the heavier rain sweep south ward and eastward, eventually covering all parts of the bay area by evening on sunday, and it dissipates monday morning, leaving bemihind a few trailing showers. rainfall potential for the second storm will rain from a half inch to

nbc bay area's sergio quintana is live at newman police headquarters. you spoke to a convenience store clerk tonight. she was one of the last people to see that suspected gunman before the shooting. >> reporter: jessica, she says she actually recognized that gunman because he's been to the convenience store before and some of those visits have been tense. she also says she knew the police officer who was killed. shortly after the shooting detectives released these images of the man they say killed officer ronil singh. the images of the man buying beer were taken by security cameras at the newman food store moments before gunfire erupted. >> we saw the officer went after him. and moments later we went outside and we heard the gunshots. >> reporter: store clerk susanna gunman is not a stranger. she's seen him buying beer before. >> he's been aggressive in the past before, like verbally. >> reporter: the gray dodge pickup truck that investigators believe he was driving was hauled away from a nearby mobile home park. tonight a small memorial marks where off

a lot happening out here p the bulk of these storms will be heading to north of the bay area, no major rainfall, north bay chance, tomorrow skies are becoming partly cloudy and late thursday and into five morning, we can talk about scattered showers, here's a weak system for today. the chance up in the north bay, a are few sprinkles and and few scattered showers and thursday ninth into five morning, this can produce trace amounts, a quarter of an inch. this will not be a big deal, a cloud producer on thursday, and thursday night into friday morning, rain showers, here we are once again tuesday evening, and the fog tomorrow morning, especially out towards the central valley, i expect places like santa rosa and napa and we'll have dense fog, here's that deal into thursday, we'll so much the rain up to the north and it approaches thursday night, this is 6:00 and fall apart for the rest of the bay area, even the south bay, maybe just a few sprinkles that thursday night and friday morning deal. upper 60s to be the 50s, partly cloudy skies and morgan hill and hayward, mostly cloudy skies and
