so it's another day no matter where you are across the bay area. if you're an essential worker is you've got to head to work in another part of the bay, it's going to feel like pretty much the same. 57 in martinez and right over to san francisco. by 1:30 in the afternoon we get the possibility of a few showers right over guerneville. but i really think the more widespread action gets here by 10:00 p.m. on wednesday. and at the most part right now widespread coverage of rainfall here by 2:00 a.m. on thursday when a lot of us are sleeping. going to see some of that yellow and orange. that's that heavier pocket of rain as the cold front sweeps through. and we'll start to see that push out by 6:00 a.m. thursday. and for the east bay about a quarter to a half-inch. same thing for the peninsula and the south bay, 0.10 to about a third of an inch. a slight chance of a shower next tuesday. temperatures look very similar here for the inland valleys. more 50s as we roll through the next couple of days. and jessica, winter officially starts next monday at 2:02

let's take that and watch that move through the bay area through morning. hat goes through about 2:00 in the afternoon before the first showers clear the south bay. as the first line clears in the early afternoon, another organized line of showers moves in for late afternoon on sunday. the take away from this is sunday is the more noticeably rainy day. you will notice it because it is coming through the heart of the day. the first system tonight happens while we are sleeping. if we put the totals, we have picked up about a half inch of rain on the higher end of the forecast. this is total for both days. maybe a half inch for the north bay, we can see close to that really anywhere in the bay area. sonoma should see higher rainfall totals and that tells us the high end. a half inch of rain. it's not a soaking storm. we will hopefully see better storms throughout the course of the winter but this will be a good start for what's been a long absence. we haven't gotten widespread rain since the middle of november. snow in the sierra is a good news story. we'll pic
