the bay bridge. >> a fast disappearing reservoirs. this is a constant reminder that once again, we find ourselves in a drought, a few of the reservoirs are in pretty good shape. others definitely are not kron four's. rob fladeboe takes a look at levels and the south bay and where that fits into the overall supply picture. >> lexington and other reservoirs around the santa clara valley are mostly depended on runoff from rainfall but rainfall was well below normal last winter. so there wasn't all that much runoff lexington is about 28% full right now. together. the 10 santa clara valley reservoirs are just 16% full. >> well below their 20 year, historical average of 26%. >> reservoirs account for about half the valley's annual needs. the rest comes from groundwater reserves. they are still in pretty good shape, says valley waters, matt kalil. so that's where our storage really is here in santa clara county and right now our stores levels underground. >> or actually at normal levels. we import about 50%

right now it is friday light if you are taking the bay bridge. delays as you head out of east bay working into san francisco. we are seeing some easy conditions there. most bay area bridges are off to a great start. a live look, you can see traffic is light in both directions and san mateo, a little crowded on the west side. 12 minutes between 880 and 101. the latest for public transit, vta light rail remains out of service until further notice. bus bridges are in place. you have that option for light rail. plan ahead as travel times might be different. you can use alternates. if you are taking freeways south 101, the number five lane is blocked as they work on an accident. we are not seeing brake lights. it's still early this morning. number two left from the left is blocked as they work to clear a crash. taking a look at traffic along altamont pass, things are busy along west bound 580. that will be the case especially if you are traveling this memorial day weekend. memorial day weekend is considered unofficial start of the summer travel season

the backup is forming in concord and the bay bridge, kari, back over to you. >> yes, we've been talkingut the very dry conditions and the drought, now at the highest level for parts of the bay area where we see the dark red, that is exceptional drought so extremely dry, and we do continue to monitor that. we'll get another update on this thursday. as we get ready to head out this morning, we're seeing the clouds rolling by and our temperatures today heading toward 80 degrees in brentwood. san francisco will reach 62 and 79 with a breezy wind in santa rosa today. so as we go through this forecast, we're watching all the rain staying to the north of us, but then by the weekend, if you'll be traveling, that shower, the showers continue for the pacific northwest and there will be a chance of some rain over the sierra. as we go through the seven-day forecast our temperatures remain steady for the next few days, but then it starts to heat up and by early next week we're talking about highs in the 90s, yes, that's memorial day and it's going to be a hot one for the inland areas while san franc

other than that most of our bay area bridges pretty quiet. live look at the bay bridge. so far, so good. we count have any troubles or issues as you work into san francisco right now. things are moving at the limit. same for the san mateo bridge, off to a great start with a travel time of 13 minutes between 880 over toward 101 between heyward and foster city. if you are up early and headed toward the peninsula pretty quiet commute. it's business as usual. super commuters. you are starting to see delays out of tracy onto 580 itself to just about north flynn. things open up nicely toward the dublin for now. 34 minute travel time, westbound 580. the rest of the major freeways are looking okay. that includes 80, highway 4, there is a crash though into the fremont area and 84 still closed due to road work. >>> after more than a dozen reports of people getting sick, san francisco's iconic house of prime rib admit there's was an admit there's was as there was a problem with its prime rib. they say we remain committed to the highest level of quality and service for our customers.

that bay bridge is backed up and stacked up. >>> yes, it is.hey turned those metering lights on around 5:42 so it is an early start to your bay bridge commute. it is busy for the ride out of the oakland emeryville area. give yourself 15 to 18 minutes to work from the area into san francisco. things are getting busy for the ride. it depends where you are coming from if it's slower off the east shore freeway area. crowding on the san mateo bridge with more cars hitting the road way. west bound commute from hayward to foster city will take about 15 minutes for your travel time. on 101 headed north or south bound along the peninsula, 101 is pretty much checking in problem free, at least that portion. we are seeing brake lights, slow traffic west bound highway 4 out of pittsburg into bay part. if you are hided towards benicia bridge, chp has issued a wind advisory. west bound 580 is loaded up. it's slow out of tracy as you work from mount house on 205 getting onto 580, brake lights to well past north flynn at this point. so traffic is slow and slow

you can see as we look at the bay bridge. just some patchy clouds. still looking at that clearing. still the clouds along the coast. checking our temperatures at we are looking atin concord with that sunshine. oakland. downtown san francisco at 56, 76 for livermore and the tri valley with the sun. san jose close to 70 degrees and 64 for santa rose a. our 24 hour temperature change, we are looking at many locations, cooler compared to yesterday at this time. 16 degrees cooler in santa rosa. 10 degrees cool america fairfield. oakland, haywood, 6 degrees cooler for concord, 5 degrees cooler in san francisco. we are looking at that stronger sea breeze. on shore flow kicking in. that cooldown starts. as we look to the end of the week near normal daytime highs to around where we should be for this time of year after a hot start to the week. we will cool it down through the rest of the week in to the weekend and early next week. tracking the westerly winds for today. we will see the winds pick up more out of the west as we look to tomorrow and that's the reason why we will cool it down. n
