forecast is showing the bay bridge in clear view right here. we do have some cloud cover sitting up above. that's resulting in lower visibility in the east bay hills as well as right on the coastline improved conditions around the caldor fire continue with calmer winds generally up there. we are still looking at wind direction out of the northeast mostly and that is pushing that blaze on to already burned areas and away from some of our most populated area. so bit of good news coming out of the sierra nevada even though we are in for such a hot afternoon ahead of us just as we saw this weekend, which is obviously not ideal in the firefight. we love to just see some rain, some light rain on the slopes. as for smoke tractors continuing to see some haze across the bay area. worst of it continues to be to the >> enough for some moderate pockets and even unhealthy areas. you can see those poor pockets down in san jose and eastern solano county a little bit better on the peninsula as well as right around oakland. now, as far as temperatures go today,

so, this is the last -- the easternmost pier of the bay bridge of the old span of the bay bridge that sits in the bay. the original plans called for that to be demolished down to the mud line in the bay. cal trans proposed as a cost-saving measure rather than going through the process to demolish that structure to cut it down to near the water line and then to construct a public access pier out to that pier. it sits about perhaps 50 feet off of the shore of -- of the eastern shore of yorba buena island. so that structure was demolished and transformed into a public access pier. we have been -- we have been and staff has been in negotiation with cal trans for a couple of years on this item and had previously brought to the tida board and an m.o.u. to negotiate this m.o.u. so the two documents that we have as part of this is an agreement between cal trans, which owns this public access feature to maintain it on cal trans' behalf and a agreement with the towing authority to reimburse tida for the expenses of maintaining the bridge. so, the towing authority as one of the financial sponsor

mike, you are tracking an issue on the bay bridge. >> we have a camera that shows us the bay bridge.re looking at westbound, your commute direction. over here looks like things are bunching up. they're not. that's that optical illusion as the camera folks go away from us and that looks like they're bunching up and move smoothly reported just after treasure island. follow the red line of lights all moving smoothly getting into san francisco. reports of a disabled vehicle in the area. haven't seen a disturbance to the flow of traffic and the sensors have maintained a smooth drive as well. that's good news across the span. the volume you saw that picking up there. we should see -- there it goes. a little bit of slowing for the sensors here. mare island out of vallejo. the construction is not cleared from north 242 off 680. there will be a delay past concord avenue. use 680 to highway 4. this commute moving through vasco to 580, the slowing out of the altamont. west 237 and matilda. everything looks okay off the shoulder. the car went through the fencing. so far no slowing and injuries.
