you are looking tracking a crash on 80. >>> you've got that ride heading towards the bay bridge, west 80 with the trouble spot making it extra busy for east bay commuters. travel times are hefty once you get to the bay bridge, maze, into the city, about 20 minutes. it is just bumper to bumper traffic, a lot of people making that ride into the city. off the east shore freeway west bound, that's where we have an accident in the clearing stages getting everything out of the lanes there. it is still backed up in that area. we have this other trouble spot across the lower deck of the bay bridge, that's in the clearing stages. west bound it is busy into san francisco and brake lights off of west bound 80 into richmond, san pablo avenue is a good alternate, 280, if you want to avoid some of the brake lights. 22 minutes west bound 80 highway 4 to the maze and then all the brake lights at the bay bridge. it is about an hour now to go west bound. it is busy out of antioch towards the east shore freeway and you see a lot of red on our drive as you head to the livermore valley. mary mentioned we

it looks like the lights on the bay bridge or out this morning. so again, as you're driving, you might encounter some dark spots, as you're traveling slick conditions. also in the east bay. we're looking at martinez highway 4 westbound east of mcewen road. there's an accident there. let's head over look at the san mateo bridge looks like an accident 92 westbound at industrial boulevard in hayward. so just as your getting ready to hop onto the ridge. there again, slick conditions take your time. a little under 13 minutes as you're traveling also along 8.80 southbound south of 66 avenue in oakland. you got an accident. a little further down and fremont 8.80, northbound south of mission boulevard an accident there says tell me it's slick along 80 this morning. richmond center fell coming as you travel out of richmond. a little under 9 minutes. a slick conditions there and we'll leave you with a look at the golden gate bridge also wet about 20 minutes for your drive. the only seen in the south. bay is a long one. oh, one southbound south of helena aven

we're still looking at some light sprinkles on the bay bridge as well as in san francisco, south san francisco down through pacifica and daly city. but definitely the most widespread of rainfall is for the south bay right now and about to be working its way more and more so on into san jose. so the direction that this system is really taking is steering this line of showers right here gradually to the south and east and that means areas like san jose can expect rainfall intensity to increase here in about 20 minutes. i know that in the south bay, you've been sitting out at least the heavier intensity rainfall for much of the evening but is definitely going to be seeing picking up in your neck of the woods. here shortly. as for the dumbarton bridge is actively raining. so as you make that crossing from palo alto over to fremont be mindful of wet conditions there. highway 92 is also very wet. having seen saw that rainfall over the past hour or so. and as well as highway one. oh, one highway 2.80, is 82 as you cross across the lower end of the peninsula into the south bay. some wet condi

comfortable conditions bay bridge behind me looks good. golden gate bridge there on the screen looks great as well. we are seeing clear conditions across the golden gate and that's going make for an easy drive across the gate this morning. now we are seeing some dense pockets of fog, though, and where we are seeing that fog. it's not super widespread, but in those pockets it has resulted in some very low or disability. so be mindful of this as you drive to work this morning. got to be needing to slow down in a couple of pockets out there. as for current temperatures were in the 30's and 40's for most areas. a couple of 50's and alameda san francisco in 2 run. in the meantime, nevado and santa rosa are cold of some spots down in the upper 30's right now. as far as our bridges are concerned, it is definitely foggy at the bay bridge toll plaza, although that fog has lifted a little bit. that's contributing to some better visibility. you can see the gray sitting right above you 19 minutes from the maze to freeman street. that's pretty typical

leading to the bay bridge toll plaza offices before pulling to the side. the victim, apparently the passenger in that suv, chp officers and multidisciplinary accident investigators work to reconstruct the events leading up to the shooting and spoke with at least two witnesses on scene. a man and a woman. one of those witnesses, apparently from the suv, the other from a white pickup truck about two hours after that shooting, investigators released the two witnesses at this time. there's no word on whether this was a targeted incident or if the victims were caught in some kind of crossfire. also no word if the suspect vehicle carried on through the toll plaza, whether it was caught on camera or if it's license plate or fast track transponder were captured as it made its way onto the bridge. and this is just the latest incident of violence on bay area roadways. it was just 2.5 weeks ago that nearly two year old jasper who was shot and killed by a stray bullet while he was in his car seat, traveling on interstate 80 80 again. we have reached out repeatedly thr

definitely still seeing rainfall across many parts of the bay area, especially right across some of our bridges. let's zoom in on the core of the bay right here as you do make. you're crossing right over areas like the bay bridge, the golden gate bridge as well as the richmond. sandra fell bridge. we do have active rain falling on these up through san pablo bay across highway 37 on over from novato double-a held it up to napa and a pure 80 corridor through fairfield and vacaville. we are seeing some light to moderate showers. also seeing that same activity across the east bay richmond walnut creek concord orinda moraga, all these areas looking at light showers and for the south bay a little bit quieter, comparatively. but we do have some rainfall that is sitting up in the santa cruz mountains. this is going to try to drift its way down into the south bay south bay generally is going to have our lightest of rainfall from this event. and generally further north you go. we are seeing some of our heaviest of rainfall zooming out across the vegion that atmospheric river has shifted further and furth

look at this we have a change on the bay bridge. we were very clear. but some of bayside fog is starting to settle in now and it will have an impact at bridge level. so it's still an easy go. we don't have the metering lights on yet. so it's still only 8 minutes from the maze to fremont street. but here's an instance where you should be watching out for some of that patchy fog is beginning to form san mateo bridge for me 80 to one o. one is a 12 minute commute about the same traffic volume that i saw during my last check with you and the golden gate bridge 37 to the tolls. an 18 minute commute there. one thing to note 5, 80 east at the harrison street off-ramp over in oakland does have a report of a fire. so if you are taking that off-ramp again, that saw 5.80 east just keep note of that. back to you guys. thanks a lot, john. it's 5.19 and. >> have you been to the stores to they have what you need. the president says they will despite the supply chain backlog in the u.s. the president hosted several major retailers at the white house because we want to

you can see the wet roads on the bay bridge toll plaza. today in the bay's cierra johnson is live for us checking out the conditions there. how is it looking? >> we are going to get to an outage, a situation involving xfinity in just a moment. right now, the rain is coming on and off. before this hit the rain was picking up, and as we came on air, the rain slowed up, so good news there. we are in the main drag here, and there are sandbags here. two weeks ago we saw some flooding associated with the weather pattern, so folks really just wanting to be prepared. there was a situation, as i mentioned, connected with xfinity. right now that internet provider is not sure if it's weather related, but we wanted to pass it on. that outage began last night around 10:00 last night impacting just the internet service, and the provider, again, not sure if it was weather related, but the issue was widespread as far north as ukiah. the local sheriff did ask that customers, as you could imagine, do not call 911 about the outage but instead contact the prov

we had an accident on the bay bridge this morning. i. >> actually crossed as i was heading into the city. you had chp running a traffic break and they had several lanes shut down. you could still get passed in like one lane. it looks like the acts that may still be on the bay bridge. 80 westbound less a treasure island still pretty early. so we don't have a lot of traffic building. some still looking at a drive time from the maze. a little under 11 minutes. you also have an accident. 80 westbound, 5, 80 east in the maze and that looks like that's not causing much of a delay. we're going to keep a close eye on things for you. san mateo bridge across towards the peninsula. little under 30 minutes, no major issues and tracking at this hour, the richmond sandra fell bridge looks like we don't have any accidents there. so a little under 9 minutes as you're heading from richmond across towards san rafale. and let's check out the golden gate bridge clear skies. so i'm looking at the drive time of around 20 minutes we'll have more weather and

the bay area's set to receive a guaranteed 4.5 billion dollars for roads. bridgeernet, internet access, all of that house speaker nancy pelosi was joined by bay area. members of congress to talk about those funds. a portion of which will go towards implementing a new low electric vehicle buses in the east bay one and a half billion dollars is set for airport infrastructure with some of it set aside to build up the levees at sfo. a congresswoman jackie spear says that 100 million dollars will go towards broadband to help close the gap on internet access across the state. take a listen. why is that important? fi. >> people in california doesn't have access to the internet. that's why moms are sitting in parking lots with their kids to try and get them to be able do their homework. in addition for low income families in fact, 10 million low income families. they will have a $30 discount on their internet service. >> yeah. other money will go towards completing electrification on caltrain and they say there's also money earmarked for good-paying union jobs for pipe fi
