now, mike, you're concerned about the bay bridge traffic. i am, because it's critical to get into the city, obviously, but then this can ripple around multiple parts of the bay slowing. it looks like it might be moving a little bit or getting into the city, but the backup rippled all the way across back along the span and caused a quick backup at the bay bridge toll plaza. that could potentially cause some folks to choose the richmond bridge, where you see a little slowing instead of the bay bridge. and that would then congest the east shore freeway. right now, we're looking at a pretty predictable build at the bay at the richmond bridge over towards san rafael, again getting westbound across the bay. so we're going to track that and hopefully we'll see some updates. although no problems were reported on the bay bridge, you saw the slowing everywhere south there. pretty nice. but we do have a crash in san jose as you head up towards santa clara. i'll check on that. back to you. all right. thanks, mike. you were just talking about this. the ba

of course the bay bridge bay is used to that. in the north bay, we tend to have that fog convening just north of novato. that will be a factor heading north in through petaluma and coming acrcross like yesterday. the carquinez is in the benicia bridge. we have a lot of fog registering for north across the delta along the delta. highway four has that same amount of fog or visibility may be a factor. no major problems yesterday, but it's creeping down to highway 24 and the caldecott tunnel, so we'll watch for those sensitive commute areas early in the commute. just in the last three minutes we've seen this, the sensors have lit up again northbound 680. overnight we had road work traveling up with a full closure of 680 through pleasanton, out of sunol and heading up to dublin. those lanes have cleared up, the sensors have lit up, but i'm going to watch to make sure all those crews are clear. on and off ramps may take a few more minutes. a smooth drive and notice, like yesterday, even though we often see fog through dublin, we don't

some high clouds moving on and it will be a cold night around the bay being installed on the bridges. polls and not just for those who look at the bridge, but drivers may also get a vantage point of the display the bay bridge. lights will soon be returning. the nonprofit eliminate that's in charge of the lights confirmed the return tuesday. eliminate founder ben davis says starting next year there will be a similar display as the one that ran for 10 years. people will see is in essence the same day like that. they know and love. >> they're going to be a white only monochromatic feel that jenny moving abstracted patterns that are non repeating the bay bridge lights were shut off 2 years ago because of a lack of funding. >> but davis says more than 1000 people donated 11 million dollars to bring them back. the quality of the old lights also made them difficult to keep on. >> but there will be upgrades that allow the newer led lights to withstand the harsh conditions high above the bay custom engineering. and does that leave these that are designed to do well over time? >> perform flawle

the bay bridge light installation went dark back in 2023. the plan to install 50,000 new led lights to the bridge are now well underway. one of the group behind lawsuit says propose display could be dangerous to those who are sensitive to light. >> we have other people that might suffer seizures. so we have many people whose partners try them around with them in the back seat in there, covered up. so as not to be exposed. so as not to suffer, not a political seizure or epileptic seizure. we have many people that are that will get a migrant. so thep're exposed to this kind led light. they'll get them like gravy stuck in the first 3 to 5 days with the debilitating headache. >> the lawsuit also claims a project didn't go proper environmental approvals. we've reached out to the eliminate the group behind the installation as well as transit agencies named in the lawsuit. but we haven't heard back last week, a little nathan testing of the new lights would start next year and they plan to officially turn them back on in a couple of months. still ahe

and if you're choosing between the bay bridge and the san mateo bridge, i might use the bay bridge this morning. san mateo bridge has an issue and that's westbound. traffic is slow because of some earlier problems eastbound. fortunately, they cleared up what was going on eastbound out of the lanes, several cars with flat tires because of debris. however, westbound traffic is slow because people were looking at it and caused a chain reaction there and traffic is slow. mountain view peninsula sigalert northbound 101 at ellis. this crash has most of the lanes blocked. it's also affecting 2.37. so if you're driving on northbound 101 through sunnyvale, it's going to be slow. if you're getting on to sunnyvale 280 and 85, that would be better for you. that's an easy alternate route. 709 let's go back to the desk. >> all right. sal. thank you. well, another major insurance company cutting back on policies sold across california. we'll tell you which company will stop writing policies and why it affects some homeowners more than others. >> plus, the pandemic was very busy. mall farmers market ca
