bay will look at areas of dense fog. the fog now hiding underneath the -- clouds moving from west to east across the area today. it snuck in from the deltaing east to west. that fog pattern typical this time of year in the valley, working its way into the bay area. that will be the trend here for the next couple days as storm track stays to the north. the high pressure system building through midweek bringing with it gusty off shore winds that will help mix out the fog and push it back into the valley where it belongs. we can expect just patchy fog here for the next several days in the early morning hours, then by wednesday as the winds crank up the fog disappears, we will look for temperatures to be in the upper 50s to low 60s. a little warmer in the monterey bay area, as we see temperatures warm until the winds arrive, by wednesday night and thursday we will see a slight cooldown as we continue dry and mild into next weekend and the absence of rain continues as well. right now we don't have any rain in the forecast to speak of which means we will end november on a dry note. >> good flying weather for you pilot. >> good flying weather.

the central valley fog, speaking into the bay in the northeast and the south bay, working their way across the deltas, bringing with it, some very low areas of visibilities down to a quarter of a mile. leave us with a mild and dry pattern that will continue through the weekend. now, the one thing missing in what we should be talking about at this time of the year is rainfall. here is the deficit for you this month and santa rosa is back with an inch and a half more than what they should be for this month and the rest of the bay area is looking at an inch of less rain than what we usually see in november, one of the wettest months of the year. that's not necessarily a bad thing. but we are off a bit as you can see. it has been very dry in november. it looks clear for the city out here right now and moving into and around the bay here through the wee hours of the morning. clearing by midday and they continue to be dry and mild through the week with some wind developing by midweek. highs today in the fog band location. struggling to get into the 60s in the north bay. 52 over at fairfield. concordat 56 a

as you expect we have the poor visibility by the delta and north bay.t bay, con score, mile and a half visibility. look at the peninsula and south bay. less than a mile at san jose and livermore at six miles. this moves around during the morning hours and really not until 9:00, 10:00 when the deck begins to erode. we will be able to enjoy some sunshine today but where the fog sits it will be a little cooler and some of the north, northeast winds keeping the chill in the air. overall we are looking at slightly warmer than normal temperatures. by the middle of basketball we aren't only talking warmer temperatures but windy conditions wednesday, into thursday. here's a look at the high pressure ridge still over the bay area. it begins to weaken a little bit tonight. we have the clouds but we also have a weak system that will move to the north of us. that will continue to weaken the ridge burks it's also going to inhibit some of the radiational cooling. that, in turn, should bring a better fog forecast for monday morning. with less radiational cooling we ar

as we head to the start of your weekend, you can see this in the delta and east bay valleys. it tends to trap the low level moisture and gives us these foggy mornings. the limiting factors on temperatures this weekend. we'll see dry conditions. but depending how much fog lingers toward the valley we may see temperatures down a bit. in santa clara we'll get numbers in the mid to upper 60s. 62 in san jose with a few sprinkles for the morning. if you're headed to the high country, nice after patchy fog and icy conditions for the morning. mid-60s looking pretty good into the holiday season. >>> live with a shopper over southland mall. there we are in hayward look at all these folks on the freeway. look at that parking lot. thigh got to the major stores. they're doing business over there. i did see them pass over union landing. it's crowded over there through union city as well. the side of the tunnel. there's a fire on scene now. no lanes on the eastbound 24 are blocked. but it's a distraction over to the other side. they say no lanes are blocked. right here. i saw flashing light

delta. as that dense actually fog will be work -- the tule fog will be working its way into the east bay valley, area of visibility less than a quarter mile here which could create hazardous driving conditions out there. heads up as you're moving around first thing in the morning. other than the valley fog, we'll look for high clouds moving across the area the next couple of days as high pressure prevails. storm trackway to our north. and there it will stay through the week as we look for a dry and mild pattern. slight cooling as the winds develop once again. for now, we'll look for temperatures to warm slightly again tomorrow as we see patchy areas of fog here taking this through tuesday. mainly in the early morning hours giving way to partly cloudy conditions and slightly warmer temperatures until midweek. again, we'll look for the mid to low 60s in the fog-prone areas. warmer as you head to the south bay. back at the beach, should be in the mid to low 60s for tomorrow as most of the fog will be out across the interior as we see temperatures gradually cool down by midweek as the winds develop
