it looks like the north bay hills have calmed do you, but to the east we're looking at 25 and 30-mile pearl hour gusts over the oakland hills and mount diablo still reporting 35 miles per hour. these offshore winds helping to dry out the atmosphere. we had plenty of fog yesterday morning, not the case for today. and through the afternoon, that offshore breeze is really going to warm us up so unseasonably mild for saturday. plenty of sunshine. 60s, even a few 70s for the afternoon. but by sunday we're going to notice some changes. still come late in the day, afternoon clouds, few degrees cooler for the afternoon. and even the possibility of a sprinkle. it will come in the overnight hours, but this system not going to amount to much. let me show you what i'm talking about. here we are, saturday morning, mostly clear skies. no problems to report here. just going to be a gorgeous day. we wake up tomorrow morning, we're still mostly clear. by the afternoon, late afternoon, early evening hours we begin to see the clouds roll in. and then overnight, this is going to sag south. looks like whi

offshore flow will make for breezy to windy conditions through the east bay hills. storm track still to our north. we're hoping the tail end of this system will swing through and bring showers to the north bay today. not going to happen. as we head toward the end of your seven-day forecast. chances for rain as we head into next week but overall the dry pattern continues for the bay area. now we're concerned about fire danger. it's been dry for so long and we're going to see the winds develop through the hills tonight, sbatd sunday. in terms of low cloud cover, we'll see more of that develop at 4:00 pm today. we let the clock run all the way through saturday. no fog as you wake up tomorrow morning. very little. maybe some ragged patches in half moon bay. overall, nice and clear at the coast. it works out like this. take a look at your noon temperatures by tomorrow. we'll be about 5 to 10 degrees warmer at noon tomorrow than we are right now. we're looking toward a really comfortable afternoon and sundays staying nice. your seven-day outlook, looking pretty good. that

we have strong offshore flow howling through the north and east bay hills. clear and breezy tonight. that will keep the fog from forming and also keep those overnight lows above the freezing mark across the interior. look for the wents to settle down. remaining mostly clear and slightly warmer. continue dry and mild through midweek as we do have wind advisory or did have a wind advisory up earlier. it's down now, but gusty conditions prevail over the bay. as we see temperatures tonight in the mid to upper 30s for the north and east bay. and again, winds will be settling down through the early morning hours as high pressure continues to preveil once again. across the west and that is keeping the cloud cover and the storm track going by to our north with patchy fog forming in the central valley here. that will gradually increase through midweek. stay clear and breezy here tonight with the offshore breeze. highs will begin to shift to the east tomorrow and look for slightly warmer conditions as the high dominates once again into the beginning of the week. this

are taking advantage of the break in the weather to repair a collapsed section of road in the east bay hills as another storm approaches the bay area. good evening. i'm ken wayne. >> i'm heather holmes and that road in the oakland hills was no match for the combination of last night's storm and a water- main break. ktvu's noelle walker hive where a portion of that road collapsed and she tells us when repairs might be completed. >> reporter: heather, they are really planning to work on this all night. take a look behind me. you can see utility crews are working on repairing that 4" water main. they are having a bit of trouble because the landslide is still shifting, but they are hoping to have the water back up and running by 2:00 a.m. the stickato rhythm of the jack haller is not the best sound for dinner and not conducive for sleeping, but it's the soothing sound of progress. east bay municipal crews are working into the night to repair a wait main break, along with the heavy rain overnight contributed to a landslide in the oakland hills. >> it was dry and we wanted water, so we got a lot o

the north bay hills up towards jenner 2 inches of rain. an inch in the north bay. an inch in the mountains and a quarter" the south bay san jose and fremont. is that a lot of rain? no. but it's a start and there's more behind it. going out in the pacific we have them lined up. they're mid latitude storms. snow levels will be up around 6000 feet. there will be snow but the water content will be high. storm number 1 thursday, storm number 2 friday. storm number 3 somewhere sunday night into monday. here's how it breaks down. rain developing on the afternoon commute tomorrow. heading into the afternoon hours, scattered showers, afternoon commute's a mess. friday we have heavy rain again friday night. looks like the main rain band will be focused on the afternoon commute. and then we'll get strong winds with the friday event. the computer model sees it like this. thursday at 8 a.m. tomorrow morning. not raining at your house yet. is it raining yet? there you are. thursday afternoon, the afternoon commute, scattered showers, just a quarter of an inch in the south bay, a
