of the bay area's power outages. ktvu is james torres shows us some of the damage left behind in the south bank. at one point this morning, there were more than 5000 customers without power in the willow glen area, and we can physically see why power lines were dangling over roadways and tree branches came down, taking down wires with them. pg and e crews are still working to learn how long it will take them to restore power. south bend trouble started around four this morning a tree blocking traffic entering 8 80 not too far along a saturated to 80 the connection at 87 flooded with three ft of water, causing cars to stall out. on the city roads. debris was everywhere. power was not gusts of up to 70 mph. there were lightning strikes. this has been a very intense portion of the storm. overnight crews worked in and out of neighborhoods in willow glen trying to restore power to more than 52,000 people in the south bay. 5000 right here in willow glen last night was brutal. it was brutal. it really hit the fan between midnight and two o'clock in the morning to where it kind of woke me up. i'm right

bay reporter lamonica peters reports from coyote creek. heavy rains and flooding are likely. if you are in the banks of the waterway, your life is in danger. you are ordered to evacuate from the creek immediately after a mandatory evacuation order was issued by the city, san jose police work to get people living along the coyote creek to move to higher ground wednesday night . most people don't know i'm not going. i'm not going and i was really hoping that they said. you have to go and everybody had to go. city officials don't know just how many people are living along rivers, creeks and streams , but it could be in the thousands. santa clara county data shows that right now about 10,000 people are housed in san jose coyote creek flooded back in february of 2017 after another atmospheric river storm , and this time, the city says it's prepared and will do whatever it can to keep people safe. we will continue to pursue notification and temporary replacement of those folks who are being being asked to evacuate the waterways. moving individuals by forces are absolute last resort, and we will do it to ensu
