kindly, ok, east bay shoreline, looking pretty good with that. that we've got going on. >> on the second time, what's going on? there are unfortunately no snow and a little bit of a warm-up happening into friday. that will continue into saturday. things change. however, by saturday night, as we see perhaps precipitation. yes, they area rain snow for the mountains as at least a possibility short term overnight, maybe some scattered clouds trying to develop. but the other little probably be into tomorrow afternoon. it looks like relatively speaking. so kind of like variable clouds for your wednesday. cooler temperatures with the breezy conditions just reinforces this cool air we have. so don't get a chance to really get this temperature movement here until we get to around this weekend and saturday, timing of the system will be really tricky in terms of determining forecast highs for tomorrow with those scattered clouds, not much moving on those temperatures, lower 70's at best and conquered looks like 69 for livermore. 73 to santa rosa. 62 san fra

but a little bit milder along the bay area, shoreline and downtown san francisco and oakland, both at 44 degrees and temperatures tomorrow. still going to be in the 50's along the coast for half moon bay. but check out fremont and san jose. 72 degrees. very seasonal temperatures there with mid 60's for downtown san francisco and oakland to start your work week monday. so we're tracking the storm out of the north and this one is going to bring us some light scattered showers for those of you in the north bay as early as monday evening. but then by monday night, we are going to start to see those rain bands increasing becoming more widespread in the north bay until it shifts to the south and east during the overnight hours and by sunrise it's going to exit the bay area. so we're expected to get half an inch of rain or less for those of you in the north, a quarter of an inch of rain for the rest of the bay area. but then there's a second stronger storm wednesday through friday that was going to double our rain chances and bring us quite a bit of snow in the sierras. so taking a look ahea

east bay shoreline. there you have a blue skies, blue bay all work temperature. check for you., around the immediate bay, pretty much mid 50's. but 63 already for any auc. so upstream will be sprayed by some of this high cloudiness. but on balance, we'll call it mostly sunny today. tomorrow. and then way upstream. this front will drop south. we're thinking timing on this to be monday into monday night. there is that little opportunity of a cosmetic sprinkle, perhaps enough to dirty up the car, don't you know, and that's about it. it's not really much of a rain producer. we don't think it even do that. but for this weekend, we're into a mild scenario here. and even though this front will open up the pacific or keep it open for us and we'll have the west to east travel. still looks like we'll have to wait a while before any rain settles. here it is. we're talking about there's the front that's going to correct things for us. all the moisture is up in the northwest, as you will notice. pacific is open for sun and clouds mixture until late next weekend. here comes some rain showers

along the east bay shoreline, mid to upper 80s. look at the city, 82 or maybe even a degree or two warmer. as we go to the north bay valleys, upper 80s, 90s into lake and mendocino. let me show you how this changes. if you look at what the wind are doing today, streamlines here are going offshore. that's typical when you get warmer temperatures. look how things change tomorrow. you see the screen light up. on shore winds return. that's how you break heat waves. when we get to summer, sometimes that can take days. it's going to impact us differently depending where you are. you are really going to feel this in the city and the peninsula. you will not get out of the upper 60s tomorrow. in the city and peninsula, that's a 15-degree drop tomorrow. inland you will have to settle to a three to five degree cool down tomorrow. saturday and sunday, that's when you will get the benefit. part of the reason we get a more meaningful cool down is because this system trying to head our way will get us rain that gets us to monday. if we look at how

jose and campbell, upper 60's for the tri valley and some mid 60's to upper 60's along the east bay shoreline range of 70's to 60's as well. much as we're seeing for the rest of the bay area on up into the north bay. now, let's get a look ahead of next 7 days. that top line there you're inland highs. that next slide that just popped up. your bayside high's in our final line now or coastal highs. and as you can see, temperatures will be kind of an up and down in this one will be climbing as warm as the 90's, not just inland, but also near the bay on thursday. that's the hottest day of your forecast. but really from wednesday into friday is the core of this little heat wave that we have ahead of us. in the meantime today and tomorrow are much more mild with highs in the 60's and 70's and will return to those mild conditions by saturday and sunday. but if you're not used to the heat, maybe don't plan a whole lot later on this week as our first heat wave of the season really grips s all under dry skies. no precipitous site just yet. back to you. >>all right. thank you, john, for your health. now,

everybody live shot coming in the east bay shoreline. we have some of those puppy cumulus clouds kind of hanging around as well. and they're going to continue to drop in from the northwest. >>pretty harmless. but we do have that cool breeze still working here as we're more kind of locked in a somewhat winter pattern for looks like the whole week northwest winds into the teens as you'll notice mid to upper 50's for most of our temperature readings currently not going to build too much more on that. let's jump back to the future cast for because we actually do have things to show both short term and long term. that's some good news there. not a lot in terms of quantitative any rain, but some scattered showers, at least and the pacific is open up. we don't have that arching high pressure blocking everything by thursday. gets a little bit more interesting here to get some rain coverage across the bay. and as we head into the weekend, it starts to dry out a little bit on saturday. but there's again, more to behead future winds. they do die do

so very seasonal weather around the bay area shoreline. e of you want to cool off and get some relief, especially for warmest inland valleys. watch out for the bay area coastline. we do have a beach hazard statement that just went into effect. we are going to see a northwest swell 3 to 6 feet and dangerous rip currents and sneaker waves going to be in the forecast for the 2nd half of the weekend sunday morning through sunday night. so just keep that in mind. but in the east bay over berkeley, pat picture, perfect day out there. in fact, oakland, 55 degrees with berkeley. also in the mid 50's upper 50's for those of you in paulo alto and san jose. so a little bit milder there. but the winner conquered still in the low 60's, but just barely 10 degrees warmer than those of you in pacific up and 12 degrees warmer than petaluma already cooling down into the upper 40's at 48 degrees. so when tracker report still seeing a little bit of that cool sea breeze influence along downtown san francisco with sustained winds at 22 miles per hour. but we are
