quickly, on projects themselves, the central bayside system improvement rfp is out. on the street, bids are due next three, november 15. very exciting. after this project, which was previously known as the channel tunnel. we changed the name is basically because we have a lot of basic functions being incorporated into this. we have the north basin, a central basin, and they creek basin. we will get the functions and will be taking care of localized flooding in challenges from a climate change. after that rfp comes in, we will then be putting out the long looked forward to southeast improvement digest rfp, and that is currently being asked of. we're taking advantage of having this wonderful expertise, working with our team, and working with that rfp to have a very clear message so we get great proposals. our schedule forr current tasks, fp is due november 15. the southeast improvement rfp would go out around the yard. watershed characterization's will take about a year, but we are doing a fast pace in terms of identifying what projects we would need. we need to fix ou

cold temperatures is already dropping mild visibility down to four miles and less here across the bayside communities and you expect lowering visibilities in the east bay as well. a system continues to push south and won't get any rainfall from this. just once again this patchy fog and as you look towards the middle part of this week, we'll have two systems we're watching. the storms here across the great basin and high pressure off shore. they will get somewhat close to each other and that will produce very windy weather across the bay area, so much so we could have power outages. winds 20 to 40 miles per hour. wednesday p.m., we'll still see winds gusting above 1,000 feet, possibly up to 40 miles per hour, and that's going to continue into thursday morning so over 24 hours of some very windy conditions definitely could bring us power outages late wednesday and early thursday morning. tomorrow, mid-40s and by 10:00 and 11:00 in the morning plenty of upper 50s to near 60. plenty more coming up in the seven-day guys. >> another disturbing twist to another sports scandal. >> and a chance at

when you compare it to monday, nearly a 30-degree drop for some of our bayside communities. oakland down 18 degrees, 22 degrees cooler in concord, 22 degrees cooler in napa and 16 degrees cooler in santa rosa. pretty much everyone in the 50s here in the north bay. 55 in napa, 56 in santa rosa and 58 in san rafael. it's very cold up there on the grapevines in napa and sonoma and warmer down in the south bay where that cold front took 8 bit of time to pass through. we did hold on to 70 in los gatos but temperatures have dropped and quickly. let's take a look at the rainfall. most of the cold front has passed to the east and off to the south so we still have some consistent rainfall but we're starting to see most of that consistent rainfall pass. we're holding on to some of those moderate showers down here in the south bay including san jose, los gatos, also fremont. up in the east bay showers are very spotty, up through dublin and alamo and dry in livermore. we still can't rule out continued showers for tonight. we'll tell you why in a second. let's take you outside right now.

out towards the bayside communities, moderate rainfall from oakland to hayward on 880. 101 and 280 very, very slick. even though we're not find anything heavy rainfall, it just takes a light rainfall to get kind of that after storm going on the roadways. and down here in the south bay, it's very spotty and a very cold rain here throughout the santa cruz mountains. also los gatos, and downtown san jose. that will be continuing here as we continue through tonight. if you're headed up to the sierra, not much in the way of snowfall. a few spotty showers down here near highway 50 and a temperature of 40. but that's good enough for a lot of the ski resorts to continue to make snow. if you're headed up that way this weekend, you can probably get in on a little bit of skiing at one of the resorts i'm sure. low 50s in the north bay. 56 in livermore and currently 57 in san jose. so scattered showers for tonight as the storm continues to push off towards the south. and as we bring you out to the wider loop, there is cold air with the westly dip in the jet stream. here is the good
