we're talking about the mid-80s bayside. and at the coast, even getting close to the 90s in some of your coastal cities like santa cruz. that's the place to be later on today if you still have that luxury. 80 degrees at the coast and places like pacifica and half moon bay. not too bad there. this is when the locals start to complain about the heat in half moon bay. let's find out, it's been a rough drive. any improvements mike? >> no, but we do have information to give us a look ahead. i've turned the camera to face south so the headlights coming toward us northbound 101. that parking structure, that's ikea. we have home depot also on the side of the road coming up past university. and the backup forming, quickly building past the university avenue exit and starting south of there. slowing by the time you get to oregon expressway and heading up to the area. we're going to show this backup on the map as well. it goes all the way up toward just about marsh road, just shy of that on-ramp. and the accident still blocking three o

inland, 77 bayside and right around 69 degrees at the coast. and that's pacifica, half moon bay, i'm forecasting closer to 80 degrees in santa cruz this afternoon so i'll take you through that forecast. we've got a big-time warmup as we head through the next four days. first let's get a look at your drive. good morning, mike. >> look at this view of the san mateo bridge from the hayward toll plaza. it's a nice, clear view but then on the peninsula side you see how things change dramatically even across the span of the bridge. on the foster city side, the san mateo approach, we can hardly see the folks with the headlights in the westbound direction facing 92 from just shy of 101 here. so lower visibility. we're also looking at another live shot -- these maps, the realtime sensors here show the speeds are just fine through the area, but again the orange overlay showing where the fog and drizzle might affect your roadways. 280 and 101 through that same area definitely will be affected. 101 up into the city is just fine as far as speeds go. a live

downtown, everybody from second street down to the inlet on the bayside and from 11th on the baysidesn't have power. they shut that power off as a proactive move. pretty cold for those folks. hopefully, not too many people there because the area below 17th street was under mandatory evacuation. we were told some 200 people did stay but then last night, crews went in and had to rescue 20 to 30 people because of the highed into waters, several feet of flood waters there in the downtown area. further north, also some damage. around 54th street, there was a restaurant, mackey's, flood water up almost to my knees. then also, i was told by the emergency management center that near street 130, there is a housing complex called montego bay. apparently, those homes flooded now and they are dealing with that currently. the roads headed into ocean city, route 09 and route 50, closed to inbound traffic. all of the street here south shut down. that will remain the case. it is just too dangerous out here. they want folk that remain in the area to stay indoors. win picking up here and it is rather
