inland, 70 bayside and at the coast 69 degrees. your seven-day outlook is ready to go in my next report. mike knows what could slow you down on the roads this morning. >> good morning. yeah, things are a little different this morning. we expect tuesdays to show a heavier volume but we had a vacation day yesterday. well, some of you did. on the east shore freeway we do have the backup starting to form off the racetrack and heading down through berkeley. speeds dipping down into the 40s and 30s at times for westbound 80. i'll show you on the maps what we're talking about, the arrow showing you the commute direction for the east shore freeway which is actually looking pretty good right now. folks seem like they're easing in. this is the pattern we typically see on a monday, if not a little lighter, actually. we will look to a heavier problem west highway 4 through antioch. we do have an accident still in lanes an hour after it happened causing quite a backup. we had this early on my radar but it hasn't been a big problem until now. lo

we'll only hit 70 inland, 66 bayside, 65 at the coast.e'll time out the next two stm systems to your doorstep and talk about the potential for a third system as we head to the busiest travel day of the year. 6:36. let's check on what mike's reporting on. >> good morning. we're reporting on this, the burst of traffic which is traditional. 101 shows the slowing so that's really starting to creep into the speed sensors. the map will show you 680 heading north to the airport, slow there and starting with slower driving coming north past capital expressway at the bottom of your screen. also north 87 shows the slowing really getting jammed up into downtown and continuing north towards 101. and south 880, that alameda offramp continues to be closed as it was yesterday. got to fix that drain at the off-ramp before that rain comes in. it will remain closed until the repair work is done. south 880 slows down through hayward and into union city and fremont as well as the castro valley y. the earlier slowing through san mateo has cleared and a smooth

inland today, 67 bayside and 64 at the coast. showers coming to a close quickly probably by mid-morning but we'll leave the chance in the mix until 11:00. let's check on that drive right now. good morning, mike. >> good morning, christina. overnight rains leave a lot of water still on the roadway. there's nothing to dry it out. look at this shot, the orange glow is because of the city lights and of course because of the giants celebration. low clouds hovering around as well keeping the moist air in so there's no real evaporation going on on the roadways as far as your car is concerned. we'll give you a look at the maps and what that means for my roadway index. it looks like i colored in everything with green. green on the roads are good but green on the hills means the area is also soaked onto the roadways and the ground so watch that. also by contrast i'm pointing to that blue section over here just north through altamont. that's where there may be puddling and ponding on the roads and that's where the rain is coming through rig
