then 70s and 80s once again bayside from oakland into hayward and castro valley.s around the peninsula, close to 80 in belmont. 60s for half moon bay. you notice the wind speed right there. maybe close to 70 around midday downtown. for the north bay tomorrow, wind direction pulling up out of the southwest. so santa rosa probably getting close to 90 degrees. a little cooler as we get into mill valley and san rafael. that super sized ridge of high pressure which brought those amazingly hot temperatures in l.a. starting to weaken a little bit as an area of low pressure tracks by to the north. what gets more interesting in our forecast for the second half of the week is how the high kind of reforms or recenters the next ridge off to the north. that could open the door to all of the subtropical moisture which has been bottled up in arizona and the southeastern deserts of california. notice how that southeast air flow tries to bring some of that towards the bay area. in terms of anything you can add up or measure, most of that should be off to the east or maybe up here

hour by hour, tomorrow morning fog will be sitting right around the coastal and bayside communities like it has been the last couple of mornings between 5:00 and 8:00 a.m. at noon you will see some of that fog peeling away from the coastline. i have to mention this, that monsoon flow will continue, bringing the best possibility of thunderstorms in the sierra again tomorrow. there is a slight chance in the bay area. let me explain this to you, one computer model is completely dry. the other computer model, this one, is showing the potential. so friday, 1:00 in the afternoon, possibility of a few sprinkles or an isolated thunderstorm going into friday night. at this point it's just a slight chance, and it looks like the south bay may have the best possibility. fog in the morning, that's pretty much a given, temperatures in the mid-50s to the mid-60s. clear skies inland except for those high-level clouds, and for the afternoon, a little bit humid again like it was today. temperatures inland coming down a few degrees. not as hot. 90 in fairfield, on the knock, 92 in livermore, 75 in oakland.
