with more sunshine tomorrow and the high clouds show us the low 60s by bayside with mid to upper 60s possible for the areas of south of san jose. overcast skies and clouds thinning out as we go into your afternoon hours. no rain chances yet except for maybe some drizzle along the coast. more substantial rain between now and saturday. likely north of the bay area for sunday, monday and tuesday. that will be involved with an area of low pressure near the coast moving inland. this time next week it should begin to bring rain chances back and blocking that high pressure. you can see rain chances returning possibly as early as next weekend. but more so as you get into monday and tuesday. the timeframe is just starting to show up on the fringe of the right hand side of the seven- day forecast. we will be watching the changes next weekend and in the meantime there will be patchy fog for the morning commute. nighttime temperatures will be pretty chilly with more cloud cover and a chance of rain. southwinds picking back up and it should to see those rain chances back in your forecast toward t

actually hitting 60 degrees pick another day were we don't see a lot of variation from coastal to bayside to inland locations. temperatures tomorrow, the average for the first day of december, advertise right around 60 degrees for almost the entire bay area so we are going to be very very close to that and a similar trend is in store as we head into the weekend. so let's check out the seven day forecast. not too much change from day-to-day. little bit more of a warming trend is the back half of the seven-day forecast up to mid-60s by monday, tuesday, and wednesday. and then there are some signs that maybe we see a chance of showers headed our way by wednesday night into thursday but at this . it is just a 20% to 30% rain chance, nothing to gamble on there, we will keep you updated in case we do manage to see a little bit of moisture but again that outlook for the entire month of december not just the for seven days but does indicate that the best chance of any wet weather is largely going to state who our north. we will see that drifts further south as we head into the rest of december an

our bayside communities, our peninsula, the coastline, all reporting thick fog. oakland and hayward reporting quarter mile sfo, less than a 10th of a mile reported there. and as we shift into the north bay, it is widespread here. once again, anywhere from quarter mile to half mile along highway 101. if you're over in towards the napa valley, if you're traveling i-80 in and out of fairfield in vallejo, you're going to find it there as well. so a slow go for many this morning. in addition to that, we continue with the increased risk of a sneaker waves as well as rip currents for today and tonight turning over to a high surf advisory for our coastline. if you're thinking about getting outdoors, enjoy our coast for the second part of your afternoon where it's going to be nice and mild. just be prepared for that. meanwhile our temperatures this morning are very similar to yesterday within a few degrees for most. we're looking at 40s and 50s to start the day for the inner east bay 44 in livermore in the north bay, 45 napa 53. your afternoon or your high or your morning

upper 60s bayside. temperatures cool down on wednesday. the rain chances return.o wednesday. rain approaching the coast. tuesday looks dry. as we approach that wednesday morning commute, that is when the changes start to arrive. we see rain chances starting off in the north bay, after sunrise. midday wednesday, looks like substantial rain and the rain pushes to the east. rain totals with this wednesday storm, could be a half-inch to an inch of rain across the north bay. good news for the sierra. snow coming back in. that's wednesday into thursday. keep in mind for your travel plans, don't be caught offguard. chain controls likely returning to the high country wednesday into thursday. as we approach next weekend, for now, looks like clearing skies. then, we'll get 30s and 40s for lows coming back, towards the end of the week. next couple of days, patchy fog and rain comes back on wednesday. more showers into thursday. then, more typical december weather returns with lows in the 30s and highs closer to the upper 50s and 60s, after 70s on tuesday. >> yeah. a lot of e

we do have areas along our bayside communities with the coastal flood advisory.ain until 11:00. high tide is building. it comes in right about 926 or peaks at that point. and so areas low lying parking lots as well as trails and areas adjacent to the bay could see a little bit of flooding this morning. temperatures across the bay 39 right now at half moon bay, 39 walnut creek, as well as livermore, a lot of low 40s out there. sfo, one of the warmer spots coming in at 4838 right now in the north bay of windsor, 39 sonoma for the peninsula 37 a popular number woodside, atherton, menlo park, stanford, palo alto for the inner east bay, right now 38 for you dublin 39 castro valley. so if you can avoid going out, maybe wait a little bit longer as we get into the next hour, even two will be much better across the west. here we continue with active weather over the pacific northwest and farther north. this ridge of high pressure is going to continue to bring us dry weather at least for now. that begins to change on wednesday when we do have rain on our doorstep. once aga

so anywhere bayside and coast looks to be pretty mild to warm today, a lot of high clouds, but i mean to the south they're lifting so far north i think we get more sun than clouds. but a lot of haze here. clouds will be flirting with us off and on. not only today, but maybe even mostly sunny to partly sunny on saturday until this low rise, which probably won't be until late sunday. maybe even monday morning once it gets here, looks like it's it'll be okay, but i thinkain will be overnight sunday into early monday. the system on tuesday night, wednesday. couple of the forecast models take it offshore and then send it into southern california. one still holds on'e trend offshore and take it more into southern california. but maybe maybeteade do have a cold morning, but now still pretty good breeze up in the hills. high clouds hazy, but some sun warmer mid 60s to a few upper 60s. and tomorrow will be even warmer. sunday doesn't look that bad. i think rain holds off until late sunday. probably monday morning. you guys. steve thank you. >> santa rosa teenager accused of stabbing a classmat

one advisory to talk about it goes until 10:00 this morning for our bayside communities stretching intohe north bay, we have the low lying flooding a possibility once again. high tide will come in right about 805 and levels are expected to peak at about 7.4ft. that's a foot above what we typically see this this time of year. and for just typically around the bay area, i should say expect that minor coastallooding for the low lying areas, it does include trails and parking lots, things like that. onto the fog and visibility issue. a quarter mile reported at na, a zero visibility reported at novato. so it's not widespread, but i do want to point out that sometimes it's more dangerous when it's not widespread, because it will catch you off guard. just be prepared. you may come across some if you are onto the highways between now and 9:00 or so. e winds are generally light across the bay area. a bit of a breeze in our hills. if you are thinking about a hike. mount diablo reporting winds 30 to 40mph. it seems a bit isolated. not seeing much of that going on in the north bay and around the ba
